QUOTE(Tangiers @ Apr 9 2009, 10:22 PM) haha, thank Q~but Ngee Ann Poly did provide me the best education system i've ever received actually it is really dependent... on which course you choose and effort you invested My ex got poorer result than mine in stpm, however he always became the top 3 students in NP mechanical engineering! and frankly, i heard a lot of slackers in engineering, i have to emphasize that it is a rumor, haha he really deserved, he did worked hard Added on April 9, 2009, 10:31 pm QUOTE(melodiousWinter @ Apr 9 2009, 10:27 PM) oh my gosh! i spending hours in answering these questions!haha, but i do really enjoy helping people, ahhahahahhahah using my STPM result, 3.33, and SPM 9A's 1B exempted 1st yr of poly, direct 2nd year entry into NP biomedical science it really depends.... my friend from penang also choose poly after stpm, but he was directed into 1st yr only my friend finished UEEC (sorry, i forgot this term, graduated by private school, foon yew high school) also directed into 1st yr i think my spm did help me a lot~ hahahahhaha Added on April 9, 2009, 10:39 pm QUOTE(teddydream99 @ Apr 9 2009, 10:27 PM) haha, thank Q~ ya, i only spend 2 years instead of 3 years on polybut Ngee Ann Poly did provide me the best education system i've ever received actually it is really dependent... on which course you choose and effort you invested My ex got poorer result than mine in stpm, however he always became the top 3 students in NP mechanical engineering! and frankly, i heard a lot of slackers in engineering, i have to emphasize that it is a rumor, haha he really deserved, he did worked hard Added on April 9, 2009, 10:31 pm oh my gosh! i spending hours in answering these questions! haha, but i do really enjoy helping people, ahhahahahhahah using my STPM result, 3.33, and SPM 9A's 1B exempted 1st yr of poly, direct 2nd year entry into NP biomedical science it really depends.... my friend from penang also choose poly after stpm, but he was directed into 1st yr only my friend finished UEEC (sorry, i forgot this term, graduated by private school, foon yew high school) also directed into 1st yr i think my spm did help me a lot~ hahahahhaha actually poly is good, cuz u can obtain up to 1 yr exemption in Singapore Universities for most course however, recently Life science in NUS only exempt poly student half a year, u can skip the 1st yr if you take the APC test before school starts, the tests are identical to their 1st yr 2nd sem's test, it is quite tough as I don't have any material to study, hai.... but usually can direct enter into NTU second yr if your result are good enough, haha~ but NUS Science is better NTU engineering is better than NUS too~ This post has been edited by teddydream99: Apr 9 2009, 10:39 PM |

QUOTE(teddydream99 @ Apr 9 2009, 08:40 PM) not necessary, actually there will be some people who understand malay, including staffs from Malaysia Congratulations Teddy! You are proof that perseverance pays off I'm a Johorean who graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, SG after failed to enroll to NUS or NTU using my yr 2003 STPM results never give up in studies! never say die like energizer! accepted by NUS life sci this year~ yee pee~ The University applications have long closed and all I can do is sit down, pray, cross my fingers and wait. My CGPA is 3.5 (considered slightly below the average acceptance for FASS, but above the minimum acceptance too) I spent roughly 2 weeks writing a short application essay (5 drafts, but in the end looking at the format it almost seemed irrelevant to work so hard on my essay Some people were optimistic with my chances, some were not so but wished me luck anyway. Feel so restless/nervous when all i can do is wait for this 2 months Oh! I also applied for the USP in NUS, just being ambitious |

But scholarships are very very competitive. Basically you need to have the best band in MUET (6), a long list of amazing curriculum (National & International level) as well as amazing Interview performance (which tests your personality and maturity) A summary is that you will have to be the best of the best. Good luck! |
