1. Brand
Any reliable brands with good customer service..

2. Budget
Less than RM3000, if possible. you can still recommend laptops < 3500 though

3. Specs
Specs for a University student? Preferably
- large HD space (i am a dslr user + i download a lot of music, movies & tv series)
- minimal fan sound
- doesn't heat up easily
- large ram enough for multitasking (movies, photoshop)
- tablet or not tablet...i'm not sure, any advice?
- I'm not a gamer
- multitouch trackpad would be awesome? haha
- core 2 duo ? is it good enough or TOO good for my usage?

4. Size.
- what do you recommend? i'll mostly be using it for assignments .. and surfing the internet.

5. Questions
1. Is a tablet helpful for Uni?
2. HP DV3600 vs HP Touch Smart TX2. Which would you recommend? I've seen the youtube video of TouchSmart..and it's not very sensitive to touch. Is getting a touch screen worth it for Windows7?
3. Should I just get a Macbook? I hate Windows Vista and Windows 7 isn't that much different. Still laggy as always.

Asus K40Ab thumbup.gif nod.gif
Acer Aspire Timeline 3810T... good enuf for non-gamers with light profile and long battery life...

qns
1) depends on if u like to write down ur notes or not...
2) not a fan of HP, generally heavy to me... touch scoreen works best with Win7, since it has native support of touch screen
3) ve u tried Win7 RC???

Thanks! I checked Acer Aspire Timeline 3810T out.. Hmm I don't think it's sufficient for my heavy Photoshop usage? =s

I haven't tried Win7 RC, but I've seen it being used. It's almost like Vista and pretty laggy as well. =/ But at least it's compatible to most softwares so that's why I'm sticking to it..

What about dell/sony? Are they worth it? =/ Hmm I'm considering Asus as well hmmm
