Brand: Any as long as I can buy locally in KL/surroundings.
Budget: Less than RM2000, most 3k (economy slowdown, imagine need this now)
Specs: Can run minimal photoshop. run windows 7. internet. files and folders. music and tv shows n movies. messenger. convert media files (1 at a time). Microsoft Office. Lotsa downloading large files. Bonus: able to play 3D games (race/fps), premiere pro/after effects.
Size: I LOVE thin, slim ones. I love acer timeline/adamo designs. macbook air is thin but i dont prefer that design. Not too small screen size (for Office), not too big, portable.

Brand: Not overpriced type. Not 'cheap products' type.
Budget: RM3200 ONLY
Specs: At least 2GB RAM, Intel Proc with Virtualization for XPMode in Windows 7, at least 250GB HDD
Size: 13" to 15". 14" is sweet spot, maybe 15" better for future.

Usage: At least can play games like Batman Arkham Asylum, Sims 3, Street Fighter IV, Assasin's Creed II, Modern Warfare 2, C&C3/RA3, Prototype etc. Facebook, Microsoft Office 2010, Windows 7 with XPMode, troubleshooting/software testing, some Adobe Premiere Pro, AE, Photoshop, watch TV shows & movies, music... in future: statistics/database programs.

When I'm buying: Not anytime soon. Near end of Q4 2009/early Q1 2010.

I need more suggestions, currently only seeing Dell Inspiron or Studio. I dislike ugliness (eg Acer series, not Timeline). I like elegence/simplicity/sleek/clean/professional look (eg new HP dv2, new Dell Inspiron/Studio, Acer Timeline, . Slim is a plus (maybe second laptop, then).
