Hey I've decided to get laptop for my college work and a little gaming biggrin.gif

Can anyone suggest me laptop with..

1. A good brand? Maybe not acer, I've heard alot from them o.O Is dell good? Heard XPS is a good/decent gaming laptop
2. Below 5k
3. At least 2GB RAM? If possible 4GB unless its too expensive for my budget and a decent graphic card to play games smoothly, not heavy ones like warcraft, RO, maplestory, maybe Team Fortress2 if possible
4. Not too big, need the convenience to bring around but not too small either

Thanks biggrin.gif

Between BenQ S57 and Dell Studio XPS 16, which one is better on gaming and performance? Anything good on BenQ and XPS?

Hmm..

Dell Studio XPS 16
512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670, 4GB (2 X 2GB) Dual Channel 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM

BenQ S57
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4650, DDRII-800 1GB and above ( max to 4.0GB)

I'm noob at hardwares here.. So does the SXPS's RAM is better than S57 and S57's graphic card is better than SXPS?

Don't worry Dell Studio will be Dell Studio everytime. It won't change according to time laugh.gif

Seriously, its certainly not a gaming laptop if u look at the specs.Gaming laptops don't come cheap so be prepared to fork out at least 6k to get a decent one

But hey, the Dell Studio 15 is quite decent for its price smile.gif

Hmm.. Actually I don't know what is the purpose of Dell Studio. I am still quite new to laptops blink.gif What I know is that Dell Studio XPS is for gaming?

What is the purpose for Dell Studio(Without XPS) anyway

Hey can you guys convince me which one a better one for me..

I really want to try the Mac. But I'm always with Windows since I was young.

I play games, like tf2, l4d, CoD4 and such.

Is Macbook Pro 15" good for these games?

Usually I would just do my assignment or internet browsing and music other than gaming.

Another question would be, Dell Studio XPS 16 and Macbook Pro 15". Which would suit me more? unsure.gif

Dell Studio XPS 16 gets heaty quite easily and often

I heard that Mac couldn't support much game. But Since mac can install windows, what's wrong with it? It should be able to support everything?

Haha what I meant was like what astria said. Of course I wouldn't just install windows on my macbook ._.

I'll have the mac os and windows at the same time. Wouldn't that solve my gaming problem already? Since it can support games on my windows side, and do other things while I'm not playing games biggrin.gif I wanna try out the mac os anyway.

My question is, can macbook pro 15" play games like windows do?(After I install windows AND STILL keeping the mac os). Games I play is like.. dota, hon, tf2, l4d, call of duty and such biggrin.gif
