As far as I can tell, it's quite expensive but for people who really wants the phone, I guess the RM100 plan can be affordable !

If ur the type who changes telco because one offers a better promotion than the other then 2 year is definitely a contract U have to think v carefully about.
If U really want the iPhone then just bite it and get it. If U think it's not worth getting it then hey, get urself an iPod Touch and pretend it's an iPhone @d_lai_309, You wish! This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Mar 11 2009, 12:53 PM |

@vincent_ng86,
Depends on what the contract is with Maxis. @hapa, For about the same price, Y get something that's not warrantied? Maxis will warranty all phones distributed by them. For those of us who's bought phones from neighbouring countries or overseas, Maxis does not extend its service to. @TeK_KeN, I'm not one of those complaining about the rate plans; nor am I about to 'invest' in an iPod Touch just to be happening! @d_lai_309,
Perhaps.. just perhaps Maxis will give U new rate plans when the hype dies down. As it is, just on LYN alone this iPhone 3G thread's been so hot the last few days [I haven't even had time to catch up on the other almost 80+ pages thread!] Also, the UK phones are locked phone. If I ain't mistaken, the Maxis phones will be unlocked - I doubt Maxis will be distributing the phones individually without a rate plan, just like SingTel. |

@hapa,
Yes it is but like I said, if U really want it then bite it and get it - might as well get it now than when half the population is oredi using it, right? @Schattenjeager, What'd U mean by voice mail support? I get voice mail support on my existing phone, and I didn't even purchase my phone from Maxis ! @bluesky87, Yes - the trouble and inconvenience is just not so worth it. I've been using my telco for the last 10+ years so a 2 year contract is not something I'm worried about. @fusiontech1985, I haven't looked through the rate plans but you're right.. Y GPRS and not 3G when the phone supports 3G functions. Also, another thing to note is that the iPhone plan is a plan on its own, unlike Maxis existing family package plans or what-nots. You can't share usage. This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Mar 11 2009, 01:00 PM |

@hapa,
Yes - U will still have to continue with ur existing plan - might as well wait for the new iPhone to be released and spend all the $ on it, huh? |

@rx330,
Get someone to scratch ur hand - save the $ @Schattenjeager, I don't believe that's available; only to AT&T if I ain't mistaken! @tarpaucase, But there's also a chance of ur phone getting 'tar pau-ed' ! This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Mar 11 2009, 01:03 PM |

@rx330,
You're just finding/makinge excuses to get one but since ur so loaded, by all means, make Maxis even richer @Schattenjeager, My opinion stands, it's just a hype that's all. People will forget all about it soon.. @hapa, Yup Yup I'm waiting - I just hope it's not launched that soon; my phone can't have such short lifespan! kEKkekeKEKekek... I onli wished they did something to do the "Forward Messages" function on their new software updates *siGh* This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Mar 11 2009, 01:06 PM |

@ckfcuk,
True.. Also, U wouldn't know if the set will work; at least with the Maxis set, U have an option of not jailbreaking ur phone ! |

@lancerie,
Yes, overall it's quite expensive. More so if you aren't gonna be using those plans. But if ur usage is hitting those kinda volume every month then it's oklah. Btw has someone actually calculated how much is this 333 minutes worth? |

@princezs,
Before U sign up, just be aware of what you're signing up. If you're paying 300++ just on phone calls then the RM100 rate plan is not the right plan for U. |

@princezs,
Because the plans are divided into call plans and rate plans - if the plan gives u 333 minutes, anything more than that means U have to pay. So look carefully and do a proper calculation before U jump ship. |

@princezs,
I guess U could but what's the point of channeling different calls to different lines? If U want the phone then just get it. Any excuses or reasons are well, just reasons and excuses |

@boxer freak,
I don't believe HTC & iPhone are in the same league. I'll compare HTC with Blackberry. iPhone is really just an entertainment tool |

@princezs,
You've got the dough I guess. If it's RM300++ for personal calls, that's considered quite a bit; or at least I think it is ! |
