Macbook battery is quite advanced that it has it's own chip to count the charge cycle and manage it's power.

if i am not too mistaken , the era where the battery will be overcharged is over already. most of the laptop battery has it's own controller chip inside to prevent overcharging. as a result of that it is always better to put it in.

talking about the batteries, what about if the battery is already fully charged and the laptop is in sleep? where does the power go then? will it affect negatively onto the battery then?

(somehow i know it won't affect battery performance but i just feel paranoid leaving the AC plug on when my MBP on sleep)..

hey bro. i have this problem too. but mine gets hot without gaming. it gets hot faster when gaming, but with normal mac usage, it gets pretty hot on the left speaker. will a laptop fan help? or a table fan, blowing downwards towards the keyboard?
*
technically, the term "hot" can be perceived differently by different people.. download one of the temperature application and state down yours here..

and yes one of those cooling stands should help =)

cooling pads? got picture bro. not so sure what are those. the thing is my mbp not using any laptop cooler fan. just elevated by this item called the 'space station'. this one that i am using records the CPU temperature of 60 - 67 degrees.
ok i have 2mbp. one that i use constantly and another that i barely use. the one that i barely use never have this heat issue. on for an hour the temp still low. but this one on for .  . 30mins, its at 60+ degrees d. both are from the same gen and have the same spec.

so is it a defect or me being paranoid. haha tongue.gif

er.. i think 60-67 degrees is pretty normal.. especially if you're not in an air-conditioned room..
