LOL @ the iorange... But like all products, someone somewhere will definately buy it up.

Anyways, since this is the iPhone club, i reckon this would be quite appropriate to post this.

I am looking into buying unused/used 8GB AND 16GB FIRST GEN / 2Giphone BOXES.

I am looking to pay RM 50 for the 8GB box, and RM 100 for the 16gb box. Price for the 8GB im willing to negotiate, however for teh 16GB i stand firm.

The box MUST contain the Outer and Inner box, Folded Cardboard Manual holder, Manual, disclaimer, and the plastic phone platform.

I DO NOT REQUIRE
THE PHONE, HEADPHONES, CHARGER, CABLE, and DOCK.

They should be of good condition, with no dents or major scratches.

Of course i've posted this on the Garage Sales section, but just an additional post here for exposure. The reason im looking for these itmes are for collection/display purposes. =)

Hit me up on the PM guys if youd like to get rid of them boxes for cash. =)

Need the box to do recondition set ah? tongue.gif

Actually no, i dont do that kind of thing. I just wanna collet these things, as mine are pretty banged up. Besides, i only nee ONE of each, what good would ONE of each do ? Besides, if a reseller would want such a thing, they would know how and when and where to get it, which i for one do not know, hence requiring me to come up front to you guys.

Hence why i also understand that i might get shot down, or flamed, but i do expect that. No hard feelings tho, its all good.

Anyhow, if you would like further clarification on my reasoning behind such a purchase, just feel free to look up my posts or topics, or perhaps you can meet me in person. Or the iphone i use. I do not know how else i should carry myself further for the purpose of showing my honest intentions, but i welcome ideas and questions. =)

Its fine if you dont, im dont blame you for not udnerstanding my predicament.
You see, im a toy colletor, and like-minded people with the same interest as me pay great attention to not only the goods within, but the box that come with it.

Hence why there are grades such as C9, C8 etc for the BOXES of TOYS. But im sure you would know the gist of what im trying to convey here. In anycase, i share the same feelings like i do for my toys just as i do with the iPhone (as well as most of you here who very so dearly love this gadget).

So, all im trying to convey, is that i view the whole package of the iphone the same way as i view and feel for my toys. But like all purchases one isnt always so lucky in getting nice boxes, while i have two sets (16gb / 8gb) first gens, they both did not come with claudia schiffer-like boxes.

I hope this helps you in further fitting into my shoes. Cheers ! =)

But if need to box, y do u still need the disclaimer and etc inside the box? I might sell to u but I need the disclaimer and manual inside. tongue.gif

Because as i said, not all boxes (and things that come with it) come with perfect appeal, and mine came rather banged up when i purchased the used 8gb. But its alright, i could do without the disclaimer, im just trying to make full worth of what im genuinely trying to pay for. I think my offer is genuine, and high enough to constitue my sincerity, though if some of you feel otherwise, i am eveready to be stood corrected. =)

wow, there is a demand for spare parts eh? anyway, i have a unit here ( which until now still cannot be fixed). i was thinking of dismantling the unit and start selling the parts into bits and pieces. to raise some capital to purchase another unit.
still waiting for frozzbyte to give his final verdict that the iphone cannot be salvaged.

Dibs on the box my friend, dibs on the box. =)

Good day folks,

Having read some locked threads recently, i cant help but notice a certain type of replies thats been lingering around this area, essentially, its got to do with this notion of;

More money = iPhone 3G, limited money = iphone 2G.

No offense to anyone, but i strongly feel that it (pertaining to only that statement above), is the wrong way to go about it. Of course if someone wanted a 3G, but could not afford it, it probably is okay to say that to him if the fellow isnt overly sensitive and think that your reply is condescending, but what if its the other way around ? Would you know ?

Personally, i know plenty of people who could very well afford 3G's but chooses and opts not to, due to numerous reasons which i would not get into as i do not wanna stirr an already boiling pot of oil.

When someone asks for an honest opinion, and that statement above comes about, i feel that it isnt the right way to go about it, instead, the people who lead this forum, who have earned enough respect around here, are the people whom the commoners and the curious seek advice from, should properly tell them this instead;

What do you personally want and need out of the phone ? Instead of that statement above.

NO DOUBT, he should have searched prior to posting, but it still doesnt warrant that response above.. I believe 'potion' posted the best response in a particular locked thread, and this should be the way IMO.

I hope this will be viewed as constructive criticism, and not as a personal attack to anyone, as i believe this is a community that is growing at an exponential rate, we wouldnt want to lose any prospective new fans in the process, if we are serious about the community growing.

Its choice, personal needs and beliefs, over trends, and peer-say, which of course is in my humblest opinion the proper way to go about it. smile.gif

Cheers

None taken, mate smile.gif My girl has a 3G, and she utilises it (data/gps) more than i would ever need it for.

Regarding the unecessary bumping, i feel you on this one, hence why i said in my previous post that the person who started the thread or bumped it, should have searched first, but also, the person was contemplating between the 2g and 3g, perhaps he/she could have afforded both, i just fear for the effect of the slightly skewed view towards the new folks especially those who are new to forums as well (in defence for those who are not very vocal).

I agree with you wholeheartedly, of course money is the backbone of most things in this world, all i was tying to say was that when one asks which is better for him/her, assuming he/she can afford both, or not, there should be a balanced reply. =)

Or a stern one like SEARCH FIRST. Good to have read your POV, thanks for that mate smile.gif

i already copied the .vcf file.. but put @ which folder @ iphone?

Try copying all your contacts to the SIM, and use SIMPORT (Cydia/Installer), way faster and easier. =) Its what worked for me, without having to use iTunes.

@mAzTT

Simport only works on Fw 1.1.4 or below, not on Fw 2.0.x - 2.1. An option is available to port all contacts from sim card with Fw 2.1.

Refer to this thread.
