There are many threads that talk about condo investment. I would like to open one for the landed properties investment. Lets discuss about it.

I am particularly interested in Bangsar & TTDI areas. However, the prices do not seem to drop much.

How do one go ahead and invest in landed? Do you buy, reno then sell? Or buy, rent it out, then sell when the price goes up? Your 2cents are much appreciated.

Our little place in TTDI is only fetching 1,800 per month....LOL...

Sui Teng - mind sharing more about the specs of your property at Ukay? Dimensions? Acquisition price? Loan amount taken? etc? Good job, chief smile.gif

I'm not really comfortable in revealing the exact location but below is the specs smile.gif

2.5 storey semi-d, freehold, bu 3.4k sqft, the 0.5 storey is "created". Fully renovated and furnished. +- 1mil

Property was "sponsored" by my god-dad. Rental now should be around 10k but the japanese guy had been living there since my god-dad's passing so I just let him be.

I guess you are retired now w/ that semi-d!

Is the 1M current market price? If that is the case, then it is a good investment! do most semi-d over there fetch the same or higher price? Your 1M includes the reno & furn?

Anymore of god-dad like that to recommend? rclxm9.gif

There is a slight drop in the market price for TTDI last year. It was out in the newspaper but I cant recall the exact details. As for now, the property market stagnant now but it would be a good time to buy now if you have lots of reserved CASH.
