Alright.. Recently bought a new laptop with Windows 8 64 bit.
I am a happy user of ONEPLAN in Melaka.
The coverage here has no issue at all, but the problem comes when i tried to connect my UH235 wiggy to my Windows 8 laptop.

Yea the installation of the P14G connection manager was smooth sailing.
HOWEVER, after the modem was connected to the internet (as shown in the P14G software as well as the blinking blue led on the UH235), my laptop started showing BSOD.

BSOD msg = DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (mt7118u_x64.sys)

After much looking up on google, it turns out that mt7118u_x64.sys in fact is the driver for UH235, and UH235 MODEM IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 8.

i've tried using the newer version (UH235 Connection Manager ver 3.3.12.11) of the connection manager provided by P1 website


sad case, emailed to p1 support but still no reply..

I know win 8 is pretty new, but P1 is simply too slow getting things to sort out..

Perhaps i'll walk in to their service centre and ask for another modem that provides the wifi options instead of these buggy usb modem..
