Well, I guess he is more keen to on the money he can potentially gain as a BJJ BB. Still, you have to respect a Purple in BJJ coz even a white belt with few mths of training can tap BBs from other arts easily.

With so much interest in BJJ/MMA nowadays, it's a matter of time before things get diluted and McDojos sprung up everywhere...  sweat.gif

actually i know of this guy, he's a legit bb in the US, but when he went to train in brazil, he was trying to keep up with d blue belts there... lol

yea, so the best is go to several schools n see... join schools where their master competes alot.. n u can find their reference from the internet

Drop by our place, KDTA (address below). We have Twins, Kings, Fairtex, Oriental etc. Read more about the latest gloves here: http://kdta.blogspot.com/2009/04/new-boys.html

I think TNT Kickboxing probably have choices on AAA Fightgear and BoxxTomoi too.

May I know where are you learning Muay Thai?

BJJ will suck versus street thugs if they are in a group.
They're not just gonna watch you while u mount their buddy lol...

Street thugs i think it's better to learn Krav maga, how to disarm armed people.

Yes...
If you are purely striking (MT), get boxing gloves...
MMA gloves are like that because of the grappling aspect of the game.
But this also means the gloves are not as thick, can easy cut people open.

You are not doing grappling... stick to boxing gloves.
'cos it looks cool is not a good reason.
