Worldpeacekeepers tank is actually a modern Chinese army tank, for some reason the peacekeepers sets here which are mostly Chinese Army vehicles come with the US series figures while those in Hong Kong are packed with the Chinese Army soldiers figure

Well, I think Hasbro Malaysia expected the movie toys to move fast but given the current financial environment, I would say that was fairly optimistic, as always certain figures and vehicles moved during the movie run but then things pretty much slowed down. There's mixed reports in the US as how the figures are doing but indication was that the initial higher price point and the fact that it's not a great year financially for the average american played a part in it. There are certain things in the joe line which moved well, the Target packs are basically all gone and most of the later wave figures are also gone, wave 1 and 2 are the only ones largely to be found but I suspect Hasbro produced these in larger volumes to cater for purchase by moviegoers (and similarly Hasbro Malaysia bought larger numbers of these) and the later waves in smaller number factoring that the those inspired by the movie would drop out and leaving the regular collectors left. I'll give it time though, we could be like Transformerss now, when figures are scare and suddenly a glut comes in.

US magazines are released way ahead of their printed dates in the market so the info reflects the situation when the magazine actually first comes out rather than the cover date (which is the last month the magazine should be on the stand in the US, I think this has to do with their circulation/printing laws in that you can't keep a magazine on the shelf in mainstream stores and newstands after a certain date) the dec toyfair actually came out in October as the current toyfair, dated february 2010 came out this week at the comic shops so the info pretty much reflects the situation then.

Yup, it's around 1200 last I checked and that's not counting the ROC line, I'm slowly cleaning up my displays in stages and will be posting pictures as each stage gets done.

No, I'm missing a fair bit, think about a 100 figures or so from the original line, my profile is here, just click the checklist tab above to see what I have in my collection.

Not sure if anyone else has a vintage collection in Malaysia

I have some of the filecards but not all, to tell you the truth, with the digital age, the issue of filecards has become less important to collectors in general especially with almost every filecard available on yojoe.com to reproduce

Yup but compared to the comics scan, you could actually print out higher quality filecards which are better than the original, at one point also, fans were going for fan made filecards which basically had the same format and text but subsituted the picture for a comic artwork or cartoon picture

Nothing much really, just quietly collecting bits and pieces here and there, managed to get 3 serpent armor when I was in Singapore and got a BBI 1/18 Apache. Waiting for new joe line to show up here but not worried if it doesn't, given it's a mass produced item, it'll be easy enough to obtain via other methods.

There'll be a running change to the Hiss tank, which will make it available in Black. Isetan Lot 10 has Hiss tank, Wolfhound, Ghosthawk, Doomcyle and Mechs at std price. At RM40, not surprised Quick Kick and Spirit not moving that much, if it was Snakeyes you can bet it will be cleared out by the scalpers.

Not sure on the Black Hiss tank, but was mentioned at the joecustoms message board that the Hasbro team said so at SDCC, presumably this will happen in the next assortment which will have the Hiss offered again.

My POC haul is pretty much the same as what everybody picked up really as I bought only what was sold here and with the current Hasbro price, I won't go beyond 1 case of figures per wave and 1 of each vehicle so not much to show smile.gif. I'll take more pics of my stuff around this weekend.

QUOTE(cranx @ Sep 8 2010, 02:51 AM)
any idea whether I could still get this chap mei monster truck locally?
Toycity and Parksons are the only place that carried Chap Mei, unfortunately that truck is about 4-5 years old and not seen it around much, took a lot of effort for me to find it 2-3 years ago

Camoed POC Vamp that I did, also replaced the ammo belt for gatling gun with better looking belt.

I would like to do some hunting. I know Chap Mei stuff is overpriced in Malaysia. But might just bite to bullet for some cool vehicles.
how many ToyCity outlets? I know there is one in KLCC, any other?
*
KLCC one closed down already, toycity owner (Daisheng) has shop on Petaling street. Midvalley Mall has store there but did not see truck there.

1U - closed but booth in Parkson, no truck.

Am aware of these following outlets as been there in past but not sure if they are still around as Toycity has been decreasing their presence.

Sunway Pyramid
Great Eastern Wall
Mines Shopping Center
Bukit Bintang Street, row of shophouses facing BB plaza and the hotel on that road.

Certain Parksons and Jusco outlets also carry Chap Mei
