The vest looks glossier owing to flash reflection, the body armour suit that came with the Pit Commando is actually one used by bomb disposal teams so wouldn't look correct for me to use it in this pic.

Night adder out here or you order from overseas?
Ashnic, I'll probably hold off on the Pit as it's more a playset than a display piece. Personally I dislike the vehicle transforms into a playset of another place, rather than the playset being an expended interior of the vehicle

Well, if you check the listings posted at joebattlelines,

http://www.joebattlelines.com/phpBB3/viewt...p?f=103&t=13748

it pretty much indicates that nothing is down the pipeline in US till Jan and Feb (and that's assuming Hasbro is on schedule), and doesn't rule us out getting the stuff (we could just get the jan/feb stuff in March) not to mention that Hasbro probably still has stuff in their warehouse which will ship out during that timeframe. Keep in mind stuff that showed up here such as Hall of heroes and the ROC first wave were much later than their release in the US.

@Sadistic Reaper, the independant toy shops in Malaysia actually get their stock from Hasbro Malaysia, what happens it that Hasbro Malaysia occaisionally releases stuff earlier to them and then later releases the same stuff to TRU and dept stores

dzirhan: Man, i'm tempted to get those weapons from those cheap knock-offs action figures that they sell from TRU's own brand. Makes me wanna get their tanks too. Awesome details for their weapons and vehicles. But bad paint job on some of the vehicles though.
The PTE weapons are very iffy as the guns are mostly made of a rubbery plastic, I junk these as they don't really look good IMO due to them all looking bent, the weapons in my pics are as follows:

Helix pistols, left hand is BBI and right hand is Lanard Corps series

Helix assault rifle is from GI Joe Spytroops line

Helix rocket launcher is BBI

Duke M-249 is BBI

The PTE APC is also iffy, the main thing is that you cannot put figures inside it, only in the open hatches so pretty limited in what you can do with it, the Humvees are better along with the aerial rocket helicopter.

I haven't bought the tank so no idea, a tank is more tolerable as you only really need the turret hatch to be openable and able to take in a figure which looks to be the case in the package of the peacekeepers tank. The APC on the other hand really should have places to put figures in and people go in and disembark from whese things. The bradley that Graffitti used to sell is a better buy (I haven't seen it there recently but I doubt they sold them all as they had a number lying around the shop for a while). I bought the rocket helicopter which is fine for putting figures in but skipped the blackhawk as I have a BBI one which is way better. Bought the jeeps and humvees and these all are good too.
The other accessories aside from the guns are all fine, I used a number of them, the vest works better with the vintage joes than with the current 25th/ROC figures as the latter have slightly larger torsos.

advocado: What's MOC? How many paravipers are you getting? What's the price? I may require 1 though (not sure if i want 2 yet, still waiting confirmation from my friend getting wave 11 revision 2).

dzirhan: Love your classic vintage cobras, i noticed there's a black cobra trooper, i never seen one in vintage before, your own custom?
MOC - Mint on card

Not a custom figure, the Cobras are all from the 2004 Cobra Infantry set which contains 4 troopers and 2 squad leaders.

Why nobody interested in buying those 1:18 Maisto Humvees instead? I did not notice G.I. Joes are in 1/18 scale.
I have a Maisto Humvee (given to me), while they are suppose to be 1/18, you cannot fit any figure in them at all and this is the vintage joes, which are smaller than the current ones. Companies have different scaling on how they measure 1/18 so you sometimes get significant variations, years ago on the US forums, we were told that in most cases, the toys were actually made to fit in a specific box size rather than be accurately scale, hence if you notice the 1/18 maisto sports cars are almost the same size as the Humvees and Humvees are pretty huge (seen them up close in person before) and there's no way the sports car should be the same size as a Humvee

Oh, i would like to find a bradley too
If you are in KL, Graffiti toys has one on display in the shop window and you can ask them if they still have them for sale, I paid about RM145 for mine a year or two ago if I recall correctly.

dzirhan: Yeah, i'm from KL, and yeah, i saw that bradley in Grafitti. You paid RM 145? I may think that they might not sell it or they may jack up the price further. I'm not sure if i want to get such an old bradley from them too though, its been displayed there for...i dunno how many years in there, 2-3 years?

Do you collect any of those 1/18th scaled aircrafts? A lot of them are very awesome looking (not talking about World peace keepers though)
They should have boxed Bradleys available not meaning you buy the one in the window display biggrin.gif , don't know whether they sold the entire consignment off or just kept it somewhere else but they did have a number of boxed bradley's sitting around and not moving a few months ago, I think the price I paid was correct, bought it two years ago but definately around that price as I would not drop more than 150 for a land vehicle.

I collect 1/18th and 3 3/4 modern military so I do have some of the 1/18th jets and helicopters. I have the BBI F-16, F-18 Hornet, Blackhawk helicopter and little bird helicopter, the jets, while accurately scaled are a little too big to put next to my joe aircraft and the other toyline military aircraft I have.

I've seen the TRU F-22 but think the Joe Thunderwing I have is way better, the TRU one looks a little underscale IMO.

BBI was actually sold here in 2002 or so in certain speciality stores, U parkson, TRU and Isetan, to be honest, my jets haven't been assembled yet due to lack of space to display them, I'll try and post pics of some of the stuff I have before I head off to Langkawi on Sunday.

These were available at Klang Valley TRUs 2-3 weeks ago for 29.90 so IMO too much of a mark-up.

Darkshadow, yup there was a restock close to the start of the 29.90 offer and they were sitting on the pegs in most of the TRUs initally since most ppl got theirs already, of course the seller could easily be someone who bought it during the 39.90 price and now just wants to sell it off.

there arent any SE at TRU outlets at my place, regardless of wave 1 or wave 3.though there're been several restocks of wave 1's version. as ppl just kept buying him.

if every Joe collector can find Arctic SE now ,selling at rm29.90 ,then that's great..
but for those who couldn't and dont mind paying extra .considering its SE we're talking bout here, then the link i provided should help.that is if you guys are interested.

Well, the thing is, from my point of view is that the majority of those selling on ebay Malaysia the current joe stuff tend to be people who just pick the stuff up specifically for resale on Ebay, thus depriving actual people of buying the stuff they want, it's a big difference when you sell stuff that came out a year ago or longer or even never showed up in Malaysia, unfortunately, particularly in the Klang valley, there are ppl whose sole purpose is to check out TRUs etc, take the hot stuff purely to immediately sell it on Ebay for a higher mark up which is why I'm against buying any current available stuff there as it tends to encourage these types of ppl. Personally as a collector, if I bought something locally in the last six months or so and unless it is a chase/convention exclusive figure and suddenly decided I didn't want it, I'ed resell at the retail price or less. Anything else somewhat appears to me to indicate a scalper.

Avatar is general release, was out in the states already a while back, here it'll depend whether Mattel Malaysia brings it in but looks unlikely since movie is already out, normally movie toys show up earlier or same time as the movie
