Is it compatible with Vista x32? Anybody tried this?

And can you guys recommend me the most reliable driver cleaner cause I'm gonna be using my Pc for the cyberfusion LAN party tomorrow and probably wanna avoid any crashing problem or what so ever.
Thanks

EDIT: Guru 3D-Driver Sweeper (from googling I found that this is the most reliable driver cleaner) Anybody got any other suggestion?

This is the result I get before and after OCing the 4890 card and it's stable to. Bear in mind I'm not using the new CCC (means no new driver installed) cause later today I gonna be joining the Cyberfusion LAN Party and I don't want anything to go wrong at the very last moment.

P/s: I think I can do better OCing but there's no enough time and still doing research about how to tweak the voltage tongue.gif . Really glad if someone can OC it higher than this and post the result. Thanks~

EDIT: I'm not overclocking the proc yet, hence why the score is kinda low IMO.

QUOTE(metsatsu @ Apr 10 2009, 12:31 PM)
then u should keep everything at stock setting tongue.gif at least less chance of crashing
*
Yes, I will drop everything back to stock setting.

I'm posting the result now because it's been almost 2 week since I bought and OCed the card. Later on Monday I will try to install the new driver and post the result later.

P/s: Waited for sooo long but they released the driver the night before the event starts. doh.gif

This is the message I got when I use Rivatuner

and in the 2nd picture you can clearly see that there's no small thumbnail for GC.

could you at least just crop instead of showing off your desktop?
*
Maybe next time I'll do it.

QUOTE(ben_panced @ Apr 13 2009, 11:06 PM)
what driver are u using?
try downloading catalyst 9.4 and to use rivatuner 2.24 for 4890 u have to install a new rivatuner config file..

Rivatuner 2.24 updated config file

and then extract the new config file and then overwrite the old..
that's all, and if u want to vmod the card by using rivatuner, u have to read the vr-zone 4890 oc guide which the link i had posted earlier
*
I'm using the catalyst 9.4 CCC and already installed the 2.24 version of the Rivatuner. I clicked the link you post before but it directs me to www.guru3d.com. Have anybody tried the link ben_panced posted before?

Tried that and after I finish DLing, I tried to extract it but failed. It said "the archive is either in unknown format or damaged". I tried again and again and still endup getting the same msg. doh.gif

incomplete download? nowadays shitmax is slower and slower, the dl'ing files sometimes cannot be completed
*
Could it be possible that the link is broken cause I tried DLing from my friends comp and still end up getting the same result. Do anybody have the Configuration file with them? PM me. Thanks~

One of 'em. I've just reused stuff I made when I was 15 so it isn't horribly impressive (but at least it's not ehh tongue.gif)
I haven't done the fan sticker so it looks funny for now.

Simple but nice while HIS original design is simple and extremely hideous. Your's better 100x bro. icon_rolleyes.gif

Do you do this as a part time job. If you are, I am planning to ask you to do it for my Sapphire 4890

Went to a computer shop yesterday and I fell in love with 4890 wub.gif Sapphire 4890 at RM950. Is it a good buy? smile.gif
*
well one thing that makes the difference is what is your current GC. If its not the GTX285/295 or HD4870x2 than you better get it coz as far as I know, this is ATI's fastest single GPU card and with a price like that you'll lose nothing!

I own one anyway~

EDIT: I bought it a lot cheaper and that made it more sweeter tongue.gif brows.gif

This is what I get before and after I OCed both GPU and CPU. Is it ok or should I achieve more than this?

Anyway, I wanna try to OC it to 1GHz but a little afraid to pump up the GPU voltage. I'm not using any after market cooler.. So, any advice guys?

I don't even see why u need to oc further already... that's one mean looking score for 3dmark06... well done bro
*
Two words, Limitless desire. cool2.gif tongue.gif
Anyway, thanks bro, will post the result here when I'm done OCing the card to the next level.

QUOTE(pikacu @ Apr 20 2009, 11:08 PM)
run fan at 100%, and bump the vgpu abit (1.35/1.37) biggrin.gif
*
I know this question will be rather stupid but I will ask anyway, what is the maximum voltage that I can/allowed to pump in so that I won't 'kill' my card.
Thanks for the info pikachu.

humm, i guess it is the same as the vcore(<1.45 on air), keep your card cool when overvolt..
*
Thanks again bro.
QUOTE(Jcsy @ Apr 20 2009, 11:54 PM)
well dont over volt too much , do it progressively

one shot over volt, bye bye your GPU smile.gif

u dont need the extra 3d mark points now do u biggrin.gif

nice OC
*
It's not about 3dmark points. It's about my crysis all very high setting. It's getting better and better since I started to overclock it slowly. So I really want to see what this card is capable when it is pushed to its max! smile.gif
I'm aware of the danger, that's why there's like 20 or more tabs opened in my firefox right now and all are about tweaking the 4890 voltage.

I really gonna try it. wish me luck~ tongue.gif

EDIT: Thanks for the compliment.

yeah but dont be greedy

its better to know the possible problems u might face b4 OC

i know the feeling of getting more out of your card, for paying almost nothing and just spending time reading and considering many factors. this is why OC is so fun biggrin.gif

hopefully u can reach higher settings with higher volt to play Crysis even.... faster than what it is doing now... LOLĀ  thumbup.gif
*
Haha, anyway, didn't tried it yet. Have a lot of assignments and stuffs to do doh.gif

yupe won't be greedy cause, I only want to achieve 1GHz and maximize the memory clock to 1200, that's all. But thinking about buying the artic cooler 1st before doing it. It's much more safer, rite? icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks for the advise bro........ LOL~

*
Are you referring to me? Yes I'm using Sapphire but I overclocked it to 980/1180 only. smile.gif
1000/1170 is great achievement though. hehe~

thanks for confirming my eyes

if on HT, can reack 20k on CPU score

on 4.0 it reached 24k with HT on

I'm aware of that, but I'm still a noob in OCing i7 proc. I'll try with HT on later (but the temp goes like rclxub.gif ) doh.gif
