Mine only lasts for a day.  But I play music for at least 1-2 hours per day.

You must be doing something else other than music. Mine can last for a good 2 days before it says low batt. I play 3-5 hours a day, in offline mode of course.

OMG, a lemon... sweat.gif

Yes, do go and fire the heck out of the Nokia people and get a replacement... Lemons exist for all electronics (lemon = kaw kaw kenot help gila set), even for my M1210 a while back (so many lemons I tell you, lucky I got a good - not perfect, mind you - one)... And if you get one, YOU DESERVE a replacement... biggrin.gif

But yeah, the Tube = low cost, high manufacturing volume HP... High volume = more chances of lemons, unfortunately... It's just statistics at work... biggrin.gif

About the light leakage/gaps (a bit off topic, I know), THERE ARE some reports over at the Nokia discussion forums about the gaps being intentional, IE Nokia designed it that way to allow for better ventilation for the internal parts... Chips and antennae generate heat due to heavy use, correct? And the tube has 3G, EDGE/GSM, GPS, WIFI transmitters built in = gila heat generation... sweat.gif

After seeing my pal's tight no gap E71 becoming REALLY hot (the entire body) and dying repeatedly within a few hours while serving as a 3G-WIFI hotspot router (using Joikuspot) - and my Tube serving for days on end
doing the same thing (while only the battery especially becoming a bit warm in the process), I tend to agree with this, however unproven it may be.

SO, do you REALLY want your Tube to be screwed tight?
*
However skeptical I am about that claim, the position of the gap seems very strategic. Playing videos at full volume can make it heat up a bit and the gap is at the top seemingly allowing better heat dissipation.

However it's still funny though, why can't they punch a few holes at the top or mimmick the speakers at the other side only without the mesh? laugh.gif

Not bigger hole le. Purpose designed ventilation hole, instead of loosening the casing(if that's what Nokia intended though).

If we change the LCD, will it cost us? Still in warranty.
From what I've read here the colour changing problem is with the LCD, also I want the earpiece to be changed just in case. I tend to max out the volume when calling which I think isn't normal.

wat happen? why are u changing your LCD?

Depends if u temper it on purpose they wont warranty. But if u can find a valid reason or excuse should be cover by warranty
*
The colour changing thing. Which is weird becoz it started to get worse after the update(which indicates a software prob. But since it's free(I haven't tampered with it in any way) I might as well take the safe road. Also I want to replace the earpiece in one go as a precaution.

I can always ask them to replace my earpiece and on the way ask them about the LCD. See what they have to say. Anyone already replaced their LCD here?

do u guys set ur equalizer for music playing?

I do and so do most of us here.

And why wouldn't they replace it if it's still in warranty and you've got a problem with it. I'd say sue them if they won't!

Share my EQ? Too lazy to install back the snapshot thing to my Tube. I've already installed it since i don't think I'll be using it again. Whatever sounds good to you, go for it. I usually set the mid bass(one next to the lowest frequency) lower to avoid it clouding up the lower bass to have a bit more "thump". Just a tip. For some songs I found the mid bass to be useful in bass prominent songs(making the song sound better)but for most it'll slightly cover up the lower end.

However that depends on the hardware u're using to listen to it.

How can they give out a 2 year warranty? Shouldn't they consult Nokia for that?
After all, it's Nokia who's selling the product. An extra year warranty will greatly reduce their profit.

That means the shop will provide the extra warranty at no expense to Nokia?

plz give some comment

i use tis preset when playing with bh 503

tis preset is for loudspeaker playing

I rarely use the loudspeaker, it drains the battery.....and attracts attention. laugh.gif Ur EQ setting is similar to mine a while ago but the stock earphones sounds slightly better overtime so I changed it. You have an EQ for the loudspeaker, nice.

Currently I'm looking for an IEM, a good entry level one. Going out a lot at night really sucks the money out of the bank so gotta save a little le. sweat.gif

Looking at Sony's EX series, which is the only decent ones I could find here. Quite nice with a 13.5mm driver.
Yeah how's the BH 503? I saw a guy using one and it looks pretty, it was red.

One thing I don't like about it is headphones is that they're conspicuous. I don't like having a big thing hanging my head. But the sound stage from a good set of headphone is really nice.

Thinking of getting it. Heard alot good comment about it and another thing is wireless. Wire very troublesome.
*
Let me know if it's any good if you decided to get one ya? Maybe I should invest in one BT headphone as well as an IEM. Fuss free wireless will be useful at some situation I encounter everyday.

Is it possible to use a wired headset and another BT headset at the same time?

Would be really useful to share music with a friend.
