can i send my DDR3 so it can be replaced to a newer version?

Anything wrong with the RAM? Faulty or whatsoever?

not faulty..but the volt..
it is an older version of DDR3..use 1.8V to operate..
newer version use 1.65V..make my NB temp jump high and limit my OC ability

mine is fine thus far (touch wood ). just tested his just now, 1 set confirmed 'kong' case, another set to be tested later...

btw, so far got 1 set to claim, the other set is fine, the faulty set is with me rite now, can pass u at any time

Try to put the RAM inside RAM plastic packaging... It's single stick or dual kit model?

If dual kit, need to pass both the RAM to me.

it's a dual kit, only one stick is defective but i will hand-in both.
if can claim the batch with warranty @ 2.2v or OC @ 1.8v, i will send-in mine

bro i got like a few DDR rams that i tried to overclock but they were value rams so now they are not workin when i put it into the computer it starts and then the computer start beepin.. and it doest load the computer windows at all.. i dunno how ur service works though hope u can help me

Yo, I'm so glad you haven't send the stuff to usa yet.

I've just tested my crucial rams using memtest at 4-4-4-12 2V, it gives me full load of sh*t errors!! It's supposed to be the best performance settings for it.

So I changed back to stock settings, and it gave me a BSOD just now! I'm tired of this so-called high performance rams from Crucial.

Mine is a 2 x 2GB Crucial Ballistix kit... I've rma'ed once from Shawty before and yet the rams are still faulty.

So is it still available to send it to you?

TS,i m using 4x1GB tracer + vista...
due to vista 32bit limitation...oni can run 3GB
i oways hv a problem in which when my memory usage is around 60%...it will indicate low on memory...is it my ram problem?
i tried the rams on my frien's pc..run for 3days n nothg happen...

Not that sure coz I never try Vista OS... u try to run memtest on ur friend's and ur own PC... see how's the result... if got error on the result, means ur memory got problem...

As far as i know from my experience... Crucial RAMs got some compatibility issues with certain hardware / software... which tend to result in many problems, ie BSO, restart automatically, etc...

Vista can get up to 4GB memory as I remember, you need to update its service pack.

I'm not sure about your low memory issue, I don't think it's the ram problem.
Could it be your vista settings?

To test your ram, you can use memtest86 which you can get from internet. It's an iso file which you need to burn into CD or floppy disk and reboot from it.
It will take more than an hour to run the full test.

Try google it up, i'm sure someone else have the same problem too.

there's a Windows version of Memtest86 available that allows u to run the test on Windows rather than thru DOS

vista itself got memory test feature, hope this help:

If possible, run the test as soon as possible, bro.... to confirmed whether the RAM is defective or not... otw, will proceed without u..

it still has the lights and everything On when boot up but will crash ... use 1 of the RAMS then ok ... use the other one straightaway crash and sometimes canot even boot up depending on which mobo i using

From the looks of it, crucial should be losing a lot of money on replacing rams to people all over the world.

UNLESS, they exchange your ram with mine and mine with yours, replace newer bar codes.. WALAH! There you have a new RMAed rams..
