QUOTE(babyakuma @ Mar 12 2009, 12:27 PM) Hi afternoon guys, There is a minimum distance where your lens can focus. This is called the Minimum Focus Distance (MFD) and is a physical limitation of the lens. So if your object is nearer than the MFD, then obviously you will not be able to get a focus lock, hence unable to take the picture. The reason why if you do not have a focus lock then you cannot take a picture is because this was set as a default setting in your camera. You might be able to disable this in the menu system (I'm not sure because I don't have an A350). Hope that helps explain things a little bit to you. I was testing my a350 i noticed that when i take very close shots, it will not allow me to click on it. I have to stand a distance and then zoom in.. I see that there is an icon like this ((0)) indicating i can take the picture.. and the icon of just 0 will not allow me to take. Is this a normal situation? what happens if i get a macro lense do i still need to take it at a distance? Thanks bros. |

QUOTE(achew @ Mar 16 2009, 01:46 PM) hahaha...getting FF isnt actually a big problem for me..the problem is..i cannot convince myself y i need a FF with the fact that my skills arent there yet... For some reason, I support your view. I myself also cannot get around to convincing myself that I need the A900. The only thing that I really loved about the A900 is the HUGE viewfinder. That really kicks me in the arse and said BUY ME! But other than that... I really can't see why I need the A900.... |

Skills have to go hand in hand with Equipment. That's what vikingw2k is trying to say. Skills will include creativity. You cannot make good photos with only one component. Well... that was vikingw2k's theory lah. There is a certain element of truth in that, but I do not agree 100% with that theory. But, well... that is a different argument all together lah. Not wishing to go into that....

QUOTE(chiggy @ Mar 17 2009, 05:14 PM) is it safe to buy a lens with shop warranty or local warranty woot?!?! the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 HSM price had gone up??? Last time I got mine for RM3000 only.... well, if the warranty is over, the repair charges would fall around the same right? - assuming the repair is done at 3rd party repair shops like YL, JOne.... since that people recommend the siggy 70-200mm 2.8, there is one sells at RM3.2k with shop warranty. If local warranty it is around RM3.8k... RM600 difference is a lot.. |
