QUOTE(babyakuma @ Mar 12 2009, 12:27 PM)
Hi afternoon guys,
I was testing my a350 i noticed that when i take very close shots,
it will not allow me to click on it. I have to stand a distance and then zoom in..
I see that there is an icon like this ((0)) indicating i can take the picture.. and the icon of just  0  will not allow me to take.
Is this a normal situation? what happens if i get a macro lense do i still need to take it at a distance?

Thanks bros.
*
all lens as a minimum focus distance (MFD). You can check your lens manual or search the lens website

for example the 18-70mm MFD is 380mm
My old sigma 70-300mm MFD is 1.4m
beercan... is err... 1.1m

the MFD means, the distance between the front element of the lens to the object

you can also disable this feature and let you shoot even it is not focused
Menu - Priority Setup - [AF, Release]

no need to manual focus also can

not sure how to calculate the %.....  but definitely not 100% yet
err... if you go to 100% view and crop, that is 100% crop... means no resize, just crop
