ryzan76: RAWTherapee is freeware.

http://www.rawtherapee.com/

AlphaBeta: Yes, different RAW programs produce wildly varying quality. It is well known that Adobe doesn't do the best job of Alpha files, giving us a noisier output or wrong colors (unless you know how to work it.)

RAWTherapee so far works well for Alphas.

You can see a shootout of various RAW programs trying to simulate DRO+:

hello. i'm a newbie. i'm thinkin of gettin an a-200. but i dunno which kit 2 get, single or dual kit? is it worth it 2 get dual kit?

If got budget, the 75300 will be useful normally. However, if not sure, get single lens kit and when ready, can always find a 2nd hand 75300, 18250, 18200 or minolta's 70-210 from the market.

adobe sux when handling sony alpha RAW. tried it with both photoshop and lightroom 2. they'll degrade the color of your picture. what i did is to convert the raw into .tiff using the sony raw viewer and edit them using photoshop.

sounds troublesome =( but does my photo look like having some problem?if nt i probably continue using adobe ba...haha..currently im using iphoto to manage my raws..and by just hitting Enter..the raw automatically transferred to Adobe Camera Raw..and after i finish adjusting all the parameters...it would send the adjusted raw to my cs4 and i could continue if i need further edit/manipulation there.....this work flow looks ok to me..smooth n simple... blush.gif

achew, I can't find the link, but it was on http://www.luminous-landscape.com/ and discussed on http://www.dyxum.com/. Fortunately you shot RAW so you have another chance at processing it! Though your pictures look fine as they are already don't worry. smile.gif
