Just so you guys know, all Public Bank credit card annual fee will now be automatically waived provided you swipe the card AT LEAST 12 times in the previous calender year. Before that it was on tier basis.
*
.. and you need to charge at least once a month; basically you've to use the card every month...

btw, i'm new here (and i'm from Kuala Terengganu)... but have been following this forum since 3 Vs ago... hehe...

auto-debit once-a-month can consider "AT LEAST 12 TIMES"  = Yes, I'm doing this right now.

eligible for the auto waiver? = Yes, monthly auto-waiver for my MBB and Citibank CC. Not sure other banks though.
*
guys, i'm not sure whether the auto debit counts coz i think i read it should be retail transactions.. hmm.gif

Public bank will reject you if you hold more than 6 cards.
*
i've read few times about this... however, when i obtained my MC gold PB card early this year (got RM50 credited as well), i already had cards from 8 different banks (the number of cards are a lot more of course!)

but my case include these as well; i'm a guarantor for my wife HP loan with PB, my salary is credited to my PB saving, my cards records with other banks should be clean...

so, moral of the story, if you have more than 6 cards, PB might still approves you, keep trying... hehe..

Today went to the CIMB Bank at Jalan Bukit Bintang, collected my new credit card and first credit card smile.gif , the card is CIMB Classic credit card & CIMB Petronas credit card smile.gif . Both card limit are the same and 2x higher than my salary per month. Like 2 months salary saja ... kekek ~ free for life for both card and I double asked them. No minimum swipe and FREE for LIFE !
*
congratulations, i remember when i obtained my first card, it was Citi Clear MC.. haha.. now i'm still with Citi, but i have converted the Clear card to Air Asia...

btw, CIMB gives you 2 MC cards? if like that people like me who has DA MC still has chance to obtain CIMB Petronas MC...

lastly, i suggest you to apply Maybank Petronas card if you still want a Visa, and it's free for life too...

try with others (and keep on trying) and maybe you want to apply through agents, find them at shopping malls.. one of these agents has done wonders for me, giving me MBf Plat and Alliance Plat at one go...

Guys ... can anyone help to complete the International Transactions surchages imposed by the respective cc ?

We still don't have info for

1. AMBank
2. AffinBank
3. RHB
4. Alliance Bank

You can check the info in your T&C booklet or look out for this info at the back of your monthly cc statement.

Thank you
*
i check my statements,

1. AmIslamic - 1%
2. not a member yet
3. up to 1%
4. no mention of admin fee - nil?

Annual fee can be waived by calling to the bank's CS

CIMB Petronas is free for life, 1st year no condition, subsequent year spent 12 times will automatically waive, don't care how much you spent

I personally love to collect point, at least you can see what u get, for cash rebate we only see they helps deduct our monthly statement.

Currently crazy with Maybank AMEX card, it is awsome 8x point!!
*
..the CIMB Petronas is genuinely free for life, no condition; i plan to apply one also...

I've came across Public Bank website that such service are being offered. I was wondering don't they need our documents to process the application ? unsure.gif
*
..after filling in online, you still need to print the form for you to sign on and together with the relevant supporting documents to be posted to them within 30 days.. quick and you'll get RM50 too, like me...

sure or not??? rebate 10%??? i goin to apply edi then

sure got hidden TnC
*
..ya ya, sure got TnC; if i'm not mistaken,

- need to SMS
- in block of RM50 and RM100 for petrol and groceries respectively
- they're giving away RM100,000 worth of rebates only per month, meaning first come, first serve
-each cardmember can get only RM50 max per month
-AmBank True and Insurance, and supp card not eligible

..if like this, come every first Weds of the month for 4 months (May to Aug), i will charge RM150 to fill up petrol and another RM350 for groceries, then my quota of the month habis already.. and i'll use AMEX after that for the 8X points...

@CrOmer,
If U pay up your bills in time then you still enjoy the 20 interest-free days.  If you don't, then interest will be charged based on posting date; which means, there'll be no interest-free days.
*
.. i hope they will revert to old rule, under this new adjustment/rule even if you underpaid RM10, the bank will charge interest on the whole transactions right from the start... what if you really short of RM10 at that time?...

it's for every 1st wednesday of the month of any wednesday within this promotion period ??

i already register and received the sms "Tq. Yr registration in AmBank's Cash Back Promo is subject to the validity of the credit card no. you keyed -in. T& Cs"

if i pump petrol today i already entitle to 10% rebate or not ?? must pump minimum rm50 hah ??
*
..i think every weds, 10%; i just refer to thestar ads, their web not update yet...

..yeah, i received that reply also upon sms them; sounds not so convincinglah, unlike AMEX reply, huh...

..yeah let's wait whether they'll credited the rebates or not; the TnC is quite tricky...

btw, i think it'll be easier if every 1st weds of the month we go shopping and top RM500; the petrol we use AMEXlah, coz it guaranteed 8X points...

i'm attaching the pdf of the ads i scanned...

and talking about OCBC, if you are a policy holder of GE, you can get free for life OCBC GE co branded CC, provided you auto pay your premium to the card...

i plan to pay full amount ot citibank card balance and cut it out...
*
..i've been 'tarik-tali' with Citibank about cancelling the cards seems like forever; everytime want to cancel they'll counter offer, ahh.. i'm easily bought...

anyway, Citibank i think the one card with most offers, all the time; so most of the months, its cards, are my main cards, sometime Visa and other times MC.. it's been 9 years already...

Citi, keep the offers coming.. it's been quiet this last one month.. hehe...
