Yeah ... plats are so common nowadays. I got it myself and there are days that I couldn't be bothered about it anymore coz I know anytime I could get it. For example, I enjoy using my debit card which gives me 7% petrol rebates and no credit card provider can match me - for once so what if it isn't a platinum card .

The RHB travel money agents always kena when they approached me. They think I'm conning them when I told them I could get 7% rebate beating their 'conditional' 5% petrol rebate.

All the banks here should offer more choices of credit card and for the cash back credit card, it should be AT LEAST 1%, like those in USA. And the cash back can either be credited to our savings/checking account held with the bank or cheque or cash. Accumulate rewards point is not really my cup of tea. HSBC got many interesting vouchers but the down side is the points expire once every three years. Citibank rewards point is evergreen but the redemption points needed is kind of expensive.
Very true. In US they have VISA Ultima, a kind of high society card that is not availble in Malaysia yet. If i'm not mistaken, VISA Ultima is not yet offered by any banks in Singapore as we speak. So don't expect this card to arrives at our shore anytime soon.

i made balance transfer program with citibank cc...rm1000... interest rate 4.99% p.a for 6 months base on reducing balance....so no fixed amount every month...

what annoys me is, my retail transaction for the month is rm481... i plan to settle all my retail transaction in full...

but guess what, their payment hierarchy is:
first settle the balance transfer first.
then only retail....
wtf...in my statement, min payment is rm74.05....full payment is rm1481...
so even if i pay full rm481 for my retail purchase, only the balance transfer outstanding will be reduced to rm519 (it will offset the balance transfer amount first)...but my retail transaction rm481 will not be considered as paid and they can charge normal 17.5% interest rate (becoz of that stupid payment hierarchy)...  i think the hierarchy should be the other way round... plus my next retail transaction also will be charge immediately on the date posted if i not settle in full of rm1481 by this month statement due date...

its very confusing....so be careful guy....in my opinion this balance transfer is good but u must not have any other retail transaction in the same account becoz it could mix up with their stupid payment hierarchy...in my situation no point save interest on that rm1000 balance transfer but still kena charge 17.5% for my retail ...

Warning to those Maybank users here who frequents the call centre. In fact, today made a call to them and there is one agent who is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE. He did not answer my questions well enough and deliberately CUT MY LINE. I furiously called in again just to jot down his name from other agent. Luckily, they have a record of thse who answered the call.

I will definately lodge a formal complaint to the higher authority and relevant parties on this and get it to the end. As a loyal Maybank customer, i do not encounter this unpleasant experience before. Therefore, i had compose an e-mail to be sent out followed by a call straight to the manager.

my wife juz received her scb cc today and its a normal gold card    but she apply for justone card.
so she called n asked y it is? the cs said card approval is subject to the bank's discretion. so my wife said if the justone application was rejected then y send her the gold card she dunwan? cs reply "u can appeal n submit your income documents to upgrade to justone". my wife say juz cancel the card.

in the afternoon i received a call from scb as well. the cs said she wanna verify my details for opening a current account which is attached to the justone cc    but last 2 days the cs juz said my application was unsuccessful?

how scb is like this? really dun feel like being their customer.

told my wife her cc approved but sent a different cc.
told my application rejected but now say wanna open account.
asked bout the justone cc criteria , none of the cs r sure.

really a messy bank.

I don't think so. Gold is very normal nowadays. Even some platinum is going to consider normal already.
