Once you made that BT using citibank, don't use citibank card to do retail lor.
*
actually the transactions were all before my application balance transfer program been approved...but all within the same statement period...

QUOTE(hye @ Apr 15 2009, 11:13 AM)
Bro he-sham

I think we discussed about do and don'ts when performing a balance transfer in the previous thread versions. Actually it is not only Citibank but most banks will use the same payment hierarchy as well.

To be safe ... to all bros and sis out there - when you do a balance transfer, please stop using that card until you have cleared all the balance transfer payments. Get / Use another cc for your retail transactions.
*
yerp...but from my past experience, i did balance transfer with maybank before, they have fixed amount to pay everymonth.... so the BT amount wont reflect as an total outstanding...they just charge me fix amount everymonth everytime the statement date come....

i think citibank really need to revise this la...its good that interest charge on reducing balance but they should separate it with subaccount just only for that BT...so it wont mix up with other retail transaction...

my action now is to pay in full whatever outstanding in my citibank...haih...actually i need to roll that rm1000 because i got oversea trip this month...so extra cash could be useful...but nevermind la...i would rather korek my saving (bsn sijil simpanan premium) as backup rather than being charged interest on that BT-retail payment hierarchy thingy of my citibank cc... its a useless BT program since i cant pay for my retails, which been charged at normal interest rate.... shakehead.gif

old treatpoints redemption value still available for walk in customer at maybankcard centre OU new wing

i think the increase is a result of the implementation of permanent feature of 5x treatpoints for petronas maybankcard....

QUOTE(CSS @ Apr 16 2009, 08:50 PM)
Think it's not just Jusco vouchers, I hear you can redeem RM50 Petronas vouchers for 8500 tp and RM100 for 16500 tp  happy.gif
*
yerp...
petronas rm100 voucher for 16500 TP..
jusco also got...if not mistaken rm100 for 17000 TP...
i think it only applicable to redeem at maybankcard centre OU new wing...

No ! No such thing. The closest you could get to cash rebate is the Alliance Bank Cash Back cc (up to 2.0% for Plat card, capped @ RM5K per month spendings) and SCB Business Platinum. (0.5%) CIMB definately does not have rebate or double points for overseas purchases.
*
i guess the nearest is shell citibank visa gold...
1.5% cash rebate on any retail if your carry forward balance is more than rm4k....haha.. brows.gif

..ya ya, sure got TnC; if i'm not mistaken,

- need to SMS
- in block of RM50 and RM100 for petrol and groceries respectively
- they're giving away RM100,000 worth of rebates only per month, meaning first come, first serve
-each cardmember can get only RM50 max per month
-AmBank True and Insurance, and supp card not eligible
..if like this, come every first Weds of the month for 4 months (May to Aug), i will charge RM150 to fill up petrol and another RM350 for groceries, then my quota of the month habis already.. and i'll use AMEX after that for the 8X points...
*
i'll do the same... i already pump full using my AMEX last sunday.....hmmm...tank still full for this Wednesday...haih sweat.gif

QUOTE(zenwell @ May 4 2009, 06:07 PM)

wahaha, luckily i got AmBank True card. But so far nvr receive any news from them also...  rclxub.gif

read carefully bro....ambank true is NOT eligible for this promotion la....it's because u already enjoy low interest rate and having 3 months interest free period...

..i think every weds, 10%; i just refer to thestar ads, their web not update yet...

..yeah, i received that reply also upon sms them; sounds not so convincinglah, unlike AMEX reply, huh...

..yeah let's wait whether they'll credited the rebates or not; the TnC is quite tricky...
btw, i think it'll be easier if every 1st weds of the month we go shopping and top RM500; the petrol we use AMEXlah, coz it guaranteed 8X points...

i'm attaching the pdf of the ads i scanned...
[attachmentid=947128]
*
yerp.. i think AMEX better...as for my car, if fill full thank around rm64...if times 8...it would be around 500 amex points...

2 times pump already 1000 AMEX points..

every 5400 AMEX points = 1000 enrich miles points

24000 enrich miles point = can fly for free to NZ or aussie with MAS.....haha.....

Also, if we ain't Enrich members, we can just join right?! biggrin.gif  I've 350,000 MR points and counting <hopefully> biggrin.gif

Which KFC you all go to in order to use CC? All outlets I've been after the first month always say the same thing, terminal down, not reliable, etc. I've been to Jln Universiti, Section 14, Kepong, KL Sentral outlets with the same outcome.
*
me also always encounter the same problem... once more any KFC that shows "master/visa accepted" logo but rejects my request to pay using credit/debit card due to any reason, i'll certainly lodge a formal complaint report..

the potential recipients of the report should be
1)their (KFC) terminal provider - which use to be CIMB Bank
2)their (KFC) customer service management
3)malaysian office of mastercard & visa

i'm really pissed off with their lazyness.... vmad.gif

I've applied for my first CC.

Getting Citibank Airasia card, and they told me that I should receive the card sometime next week.  smile.gif

A bit unsatisfied because they're issuing me the silver card. Income-wise, I'm eligible for gold, but I did not meet one of their gold card requirement which is having a CC from other bank first.  sad.gif

Is there any chance Citibank going to upgrade me to gold after few months?
*
i guess no different of benefit for silver & gold card...maybe only some insurance benefits that come together with the card might be better on gold...other than that i dont see any different in privillege...unless u're comparing platinum to gold/silver....

Just wanna ask here, is it ok to withdraw cash from my credit card-i (bank rakyat) to pay my maybank credit card balance ? RM30 fees for every RM1000  withdrawn.
*
QUOTE(David83 @ Jun 13 2009, 09:49 PM)
Because the interest charged on the amount withdrawn (outstanding) will be imposed daily from the day of withdrawal till you settled it in full amount.
*
yerp....agree with david83...
shinzan, better u pay minimum first, than find a good balance transfer plan...
no point withdraw cash from other credit card to pay another...u'lll end up paying more interest..

remember

retail balance interest = 17.5% (or 13.5% & 16%) counted from the due date (unless not settle full from the previous month)

but

cash advance interest = strictly 18% compounded daily from the day of withdrawal...

You:nique card 9% option

Your finance charge is only 9% p.a. for the first 12 months, and thereafter it is subject to your payment behavior in accordance with Bank Negara tier interest guidelines. If you consistently make minimum payment every month, the finance charge remains at 9% throughout the tenure of the card.

From above, after the 1st year, it says if you consistently make minimum payment then you enjoy the 9% interest. What if you pay more than the minimum payment?

Rule No.1, do not have outstanding balance.
Rule No.2. see Rule No.1

*
if no outstanding balance every month means no finance charge...
if no finance charge why border about the interest of 9%p.a or even if it's 100%p.a....

i think it need only consistent minimum payment every month is good enough to keep the card finance charge rate at 9% p.a throughout the tenure of the card... bank also want to make money la....
