Hi all,

I am considering to start an eCommerce site particularly to sell outdoor gears related items in Malaysia. Some examples are like REI.com and Backcountry.

Hence, I would like to get your view on such idea and your thoughts on such on the following:

  • What are your current pain-points when it comes to shopping on such outdoor gears around in KL for your adventures in and out of the country?
  • Would you prefer to shop online for such items considering the fact that they are genuine, has warranty and cheaper than offline stores?
  • What are your thoughts on the current offline/brick-and-mortar outdoor stores around in KL?
Thank you for your feedback!
*
1. Driving and parking. And difficulty in comparing items from shop to shop, some are very far away from each other.
2. Yes please, but will only be convinced if photo/video of the item taken is very detailed. Sometimes what we see isn't what we get rclxub.gif
3. The best thing is we can check and 'feel' the items before purchasing them. Can test them on and see whether they look nice or are they comfortable. But the bad thing is shops usually have limited selection, and not one outlet has all.

Fraser's hill is awesome, I usually go to pine tree trail and hike till the first peak. You can hike up till the second peak but IMO, the first peak has a better view than the second one.

If you start your hike early like 7am or so, the fresh air is so awesome! You should be able to exit about 1-2pm depending on the speed you hike, assuming you only go to the 1st peak.

I'll be planning a hike there soon too! First time there tho, any rough guide for dummies? Where to start/park etc sweat.gif

I never been there. Raining is not a problem. Just slow down and carefull.

I just hiking back this morning. It is lovely day after the haze gone. Nothing is better than this. It is slippy everywhere after yesterday raining. Some slip and fall down. But everybody come out safe. Most of them is beginner.

Yeah am actually worried the most about them slipping at the ladders at the peak sweat.gif but alright, all mounts are challenging always rclxms.gif

Insect repellent will extract the bee. Don't use. Prepare a towel around your neck to shoo it away.

It is open.

But you need to apply permit to hike in.

Last month went there.

Any changes to the track? or is it still a straightforward route to the top?
Apply permit through post to PHD Raub?

On the way back now.

Nice. Raining late evening everyday. Hike into some waterfall. Very nice.

The journey is Long. Bus, 4x4, sampan and lastly hike for 1hr to the campsite. Next day 4hr hike into the waterfall area. A lot of leeches. Even campsite. Jump into river also will kena leeches.

A place must go if you a hiker.
