by the way, just to update u guys that SPort Direct is having Sales now. i just bought a pair of Karimor Hiking Show for RM 114. i think it's a good sales but the salesman told me that the sales is on going . next month buy also the same discount. so take your time to choose. i plan to get the hiking stick for RM 38 but the moment the rubber stopper came out, i gave this a skip. i think the brand is camper.

I think it's tru. I went up bit gassing that day n saw a few thugs r feeding monkeys there. There r 3 of them with swollen face. Better to go during peak hours. I did not know bit kiara has a hiking path. Nice?

I bought Karrimor Summit for RM 114. Good shoe for hiking but poor for Slippery Tiles.

Sports Direct sells a few brands of hiking shoes, namely Karrimor, Campri and the higher priced Hitecs. Karrimor also have higher priced  models. don't get too dependant on the Vibram as it is also as useless if the trail is really muddy. Sadly, you cannot really try a pair until you hit the trails. I have to change 3 times until I find one that is quite OK to me, price considered too! I started off with Merrel but found out the soles are not that grippy and then a pair of bargained Hitec from Outdoor world. The Hitec was good but the soles are too soft for my heavy body and pebbles nudged my soles and this made me choose the harder soled Hitec for the next purchase. Least but not least! Timberland is like a Ferrari in Petaling St. Cost a lot but can't find any advantages over the others in fact nowadays they even performed badly over the other brands. Columbia is a good brand!

Usually when you go camping, just make sure you go with some experienced guys. There are alot of do and don't in camping or even hiking especially when you are hiking into the jungles. Here's a good place to learn about camping and hiking.
