Waiting in a queue is a waste of a consumer's tme and a lost of profit to a business. Free2Roam lets the consumer use their mobile phones ( via SMS or Interactive Voice Response,IVR ) to hold their spots in line while they are free to roam. An average person spends over 2 waking years of his/her life waiting in queues. My system will keep track and remind them of their wait time. The customer can ask for more time if they are busy or to leave the queue. On a bigger picture, Free2Roam is a digital community which covers F&B, lifestyles and entertainment. This community will be linked with an application on Facebook to drive more traffic and eventually will be a gold mine for advertisers to target their desired audience. Ultimately, Free2Roam will be a Brand for what's hot and what's not!

Its a good idea but honestly to me if I am charged for sms charge to be in the queue, I rather just take my RM0.50~RM1.50 elsewhere. First of all merchants also have the responsibility to hold the tables for free2roam users but what happens if these ppl continue to shop shop and then end up they FFK the restaurant. The restaurant will lose even more money than if they had let their customers in queue to go 1st.

I would like to adress your questions.

First of all, Thank you so much for taking time to have a look at my BPO. =)
For the record, charges per SMS won;t be as high as RM1.50. In fact, it will be subsidized with mobile advertisement.
Free2roam will create a channel for merchants to reach out to the users via Mobile Advertisement. To do that, Free2Roam will ask the merchants to sponsor freebies, gifts, discounts and privillages to Free2Roam users. The benefits will be served to Free2Roam users in a form of mobile coupons/ SMS.

So free2roam isn't only about helping consumers save time and enjoy outings more but also to prompt users and let them in on information of the best bargains in town to ensure best value worth of their money.

That's a good way to offset the sms charges.

How bout the issue where free2roam users FFK the restaurant. How is the merchant going to handle that? wait till the free2roam user get back? or allow other customers who are queuing up go in first? If they do, then the free2roam user comes back then found his/her seat is given away.. then what happens next?

this system doesnt work reason very simple if everyone book and do not attend its a huge lost for the merchant or shop. Not only that example M-money it was failure because at first its update then later it will end up spam smses. Anyway good luck to u just voted for you

For the record, the consumer can choose not to receive any SMS updates and even choose what type of SMS-es he / she wants to receive. For example , customer A only wants to receive SMS on discounts from F&B.
They can also choose the frequency of how often they wanna receive these sms-es . Example : Once a month.

Dear J-Slade,

If the consumer FFK more then 3 times, we will prompt the merchant. The whole idea of the system is to creat benefits for both consumers and merchant. I'm sure if the customer needs to pay a small fee like RM0.30 cents for a booking, they should be quite serious most of the time. Hopefully no one abuses this!
