Um.. i was under the impression your samsung 2233SW better specs then the dell...

2233SW better specs lah... full HD etc. Only thing it lost to dell is that Del''s 2MS response time. Glossy screen great for watchign movie when you turn off all the lights. The colours tend to look "livelier" as well. Anyway good deal but I bougth my P2350 less then a month ago... pffttt

I posted the Dell specs a few pages back. It's not Full HD resolution is my major gripe.

Also, just wondering, does anyone actually use the USB ports located at the monitor? Casing these days have 101 USB ports liao leh. Heck.. I dont even plug my mouse into my keyboard's USB port.

At RM399 it's a great buy, at RM550? Not anymore..

Yup, I have a DVI->VGA adapter. (it either come with the P2350 or the 4890.. cant remember which liao )

P2350 at 630 is very cheap leh, that's the price for the 2333SW which is lower specs. I bought the P2350 $750+ about 3 weeks ago...

Call them, give them a piece of yoru mind... order acknowledgement came.. contract done. If they cannot sell... dont put the link up.

Call them, talk to a supervisor/manager, ask his name first, THEN only you taruh him. After you got his name, he cant slam the phone down on you. Threaten to fax in a formal B&W complain to his GM etc putting down his name and the all the girls who answered your phone and pass you around (for sure they will pass yo to 101 person, ask ALL their names).

Go for the AOC, unless you watch movie alot and play in total darkness. Then you can live with Acer's glossy screen.

Dead Pixel = White on black screen
Red dot = stuck pixel (you better with with Dell what is their policy on that, Samsung have a 1:1 exchange for a single red dot within 7 days).

Correct me if I'm wrong, you cant see the red dot under black page cause, to display black, all the pixel is on "ON" position. Hence any stuck pixel doesnt show up. Black screen test is to look for "Dead" pixle which will show up white.

Pls dont rub the area etc etc... it doesnt work. You migth come worse off and leave mark on the LCD screen...

Dead Pixel : Well, when the transistors of a pixel is dead, the result would be a white dot as lights would not be blocked from passing thru the RGB? Isnt this what we refer to as "Dead" pixel?

Such "stuck" fixing method generally doesnt work. And even when it does (sure there are claims it worked) most commented that the problem comes back. Also, the LCD is made of plastic, although it is coated with an anti-glare coating and is somewhat scratch resistance to a good degree. This surface is not however scratch proof. Even rubbing using a piece of cloth might produce abrasion on the screen.

The monitor in question is an UltraSharp series (?) Their replacement for that is ONE bright dots (or more ofcourse) or 6 dark dots. My advice would be to leave it in perfect order while asking for a new unit, why risk leaving physical deformities when you want to claim Dell??
