QUOTE(en2o @ Jun 15 2009, 01:21 AM) Do you mean you are under the impression? Becoz you used the word "was". But seriously SP2208WFP has more features than my 2233SW. So I just might sell my 2233SW off or keep it solely for watching movies and gaming only. I like everything about SP2208WFP except the fact that it's a glossy screen. Hmm.. Crackin' my head. 2233SW better specs lah... full HD etc. Only thing it lost to dell is that Del''s 2MS response time. Glossy screen great for watchign movie when you turn off all the lights. The colours tend to look "livelier" as well. Anyway good deal but I bougth my P2350 less then a month ago... pffttt |

QUOTE(en2o @ Jun 15 2009, 03:45 AM) Better specs in terms of what? Dynamic contrast range? I don't fancy that. I posted the Dell specs a few pages back. It's not Full HD resolution is my major gripe. The Dell one has integrated webcam, USB ports and HDMI compared to 2233SW which has non of them. Also, just wondering, does anyone actually use the USB ports located at the monitor? Casing these days have 101 USB ports liao leh. Heck.. I dont even plug my mouse into my keyboard's USB port. |

QUOTE(Eoma @ Jun 17 2009, 06:38 PM) No point, they will click the "delete" button.Call them, talk to a supervisor/manager, ask his name first, THEN only you taruh him. After you got his name, he cant slam the phone down on you. Threaten to fax in a formal B&W complain to his GM etc putting down his name and the all the girls who answered your phone and pass you around (for sure they will pass yo to 101 person, ask ALL their names). |

QUOTE(hermit23 @ Jun 18 2009, 01:16 AM) Help i cant make up my mind, im stuck between Acer H233H or AOC 2434PW . . . any users of these, i greatly appreciate for some feedbacks bout them. Any other recommendations too??? Go for the AOC, unless you watch movie alot and play in total darkness. Then you can live with Acer's glossy screen. |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Jun 19 2009, 12:40 AM) The pixel is red under white page. Dead Pixel = White on black screenBut under black page, I can't see the dot. Same with dark blue, can't find the dot. The dot is noticeable under all lighter colour. Red dot = stuck pixel (you better with with Dell what is their policy on that, Samsung have a 1:1 exchange for a single red dot within 7 days). Correct me if I'm wrong, you cant see the red dot under black page cause, to display black, all the pixel is on "ON" position. Hence any stuck pixel doesnt show up. Black screen test is to look for "Dead" pixle which will show up white. Pls dont rub the area etc etc... it doesnt work. You migth come worse off and leave mark on the LCD screen... |

QUOTE(kianwee @ Jun 19 2009, 12:07 PM) I will do the honor to correct you, because you are all wrong. Dead Pixel : Well, when the transistors of a pixel is dead, the result would be a white dot as lights would not be blocked from passing thru the RGB? Isnt this what we refer to as "Dead" pixel?1) Dead pixel doesn't show any color. It is pure black, because the pixel is off. It is dead. So your claim of dead pixel = white on black screen is misleading. 2) A stuck pixel happens when 3 sub-pixels (either red, green or blue, or could be a combination) is left lit on the screen. So a red stuck pixel will not be seen on a red screen. When you cycle to other color like green, the red subpixel which is stuck there will remain as red, so you can see a small red dot. 3) The rubbing technique works on some, it is one of the most popular technique to unstuck a stuck pixel. So if it doesn't work for you, doesn't mean it doesn't work for others. Do not make a conclusion based on your experience. Nobody ask you to rub using your razor blade, how will gently rubbing leave marks on a LCD screen? Such "stuck" fixing method generally doesnt work. And even when it does (sure there are claims it worked) most commented that the problem comes back. Also, the LCD is made of plastic, although it is coated with an anti-glare coating and is somewhat scratch resistance to a good degree. This surface is not however scratch proof. Even rubbing using a piece of cloth might produce abrasion on the screen. The monitor in question is an UltraSharp series (?) Their replacement for that is ONE bright dots (or more ofcourse) or 6 dark dots. My advice would be to leave it in perfect order while asking for a new unit, why risk leaving physical deformities when you want to claim Dell?? QUOTE(xrossf1re @ Jun 19 2009, 12:13 PM) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_pixel this one ar bro? Aiya this is a forum, you got constructive things to say then post lah.
