u'd be able to travel and own an old car but not afford a house. u can rent and that will be good. but most waiters/tresses are students or single mums looking to earn an extra buck. it's not something u'd wana live off really. unless ur a bum like alot of those bogans

It does seem like a nice work/life balance though. It would be cool to work only when you need money. Over here's it's either you work or you don't work. You can't like work two hours a day, and then take tomorrow off, and then work three hours the next day. Imagine not having to work because it's a nice day to go walking smile.gif btw any good hiking or walking trails? and how much are macadamia nuts these days?

PS. You know what, that's my dream. Just to work when you need money. Here everyone is like, "don't take a holiday unless you are half dead, we want to give you money, work harder, here's more money, work harder!" and then one day you drop dead and never get to spend any of it. What's the point of that? I'm going to retire and stuff myself totally full of macadamia nuts. It's impossible to get fresh macadamia nuts in this country.

yea those are caused by many factors, but personally if i know i wont be bothering anyone, why cant i do something to make my life a little easier without having to worry about a slap in the face by the govt?

im used to driving in aus and u do get used to it, but it still feels restrictive compared the shit ur allowed to do in msia.

funny story. i once saw a car hit another car at a roundabout. i assume someone neglected to stop for the vehicle coming from the right, no one was actually alert enough and bam they hit each other. i was wondering to myself this wouldnt happen in msia cos we're all so used to not giving way to ppl at roundabouts anyway, we end up usually being more defensive on the road.

yea it's funny, we don't have as many accidents cos people are more selfish on the road lol, and pedestrians know that if they cross at the wrong time it might cost them a lot, so they're naturally more careful, which also leads to less accidents lol smile.gif

I take it you're not in Queensland right now.

This is in Toowoomba, where USQ is. Anyone in USQ right now?
