4 sticks is always a no no for high clock. ya ram runnin @ what speed? chipset used on all d modules are d same?

have u tried oc w/ 2 sticks only? it could be d imc of ya chip not strong enuf to handle 4 sticks. try to bump chipset voltage by a notch or 2, mite able to stabilize d prime.

i believe it is bios issue bro, from my experience w 3 biostar 790gx boards, non really work perfectly.

any black edition chip (w/ unlocked multi) will do. from am2 > am2+ > am3, choose ya flavor.

ok, but it's an agena so don't put too much expectation of it, i'd say 3.3~3.4GHz is d max for 24/7 depend on cooling.

advantage of b.e is d unlocked multi, much more freedom in oc & more combination of htt + cpu multi.

u'll be surprise that d temp will stay almost d same even w/ few bumps of voltage. deneb really gud in temp especially w/ 3 cores, it's super cool...

ddr2 = dfi 790fxb
ddr3 = biostar 790gx (more power phase but still w/ d screwed layout - primary pci-e slot in d middle of nowhere )

why not get 4gb instead? if u want high speed ddr1066 will do d job well enuf, thou i'd recommend get a pair of ddr2 800 & clock d hell outta it, save $$$ + some fun playin around. just my 2 cents thou.

try to play w/ diff acc value for each core bro, core 1 (2nd core) is d crippled core. try w/ diff acc values for that particular core while set 0 to others. u'll find one which is most stable. i did this on my fxb, should have some similarities i guess.

answer is no, not w/ 790gx/fx.

for starters like bobiac & i, be chip does make our lives easier...

core 0 = 0%
core 1 = -12%
core 2 = 0%
core 3 = 0%

from what i read in xs, weaker core should be assigned + value (more juice will be supplied), but strange enuf for my case -12 just fitted well. imo d trick is one need to find out d weaker/crippled core 1st, once it's done ya live will be less miserable. i can't guarantee prime stable thou as i only tried it on my fxb which can never be prime stable (blend test) & around 6 hours on 790gx3...

x3 w/ unlocked 4th core. someone in xs or where (can't remember due to agin problem) applied acc to his 940be, it works too.

i was workin mah... i wear casual later kena fired by my boss how...

name me atx boards w/ 2 dimm slots bro, u can hardly find one...

but unlockin of x3 on 790fxb is not stable enuf. jr 790gx however pwn all... i saw a 0904 doin 3.3GHz prime stable w/ 1.3v only. d best i've seen so far on ddr2 boards.

ermm... it's ya choice on d mobo. 7750b.e @ 3.2GHz is quite common on decent boards.

intel quaddies hard to c too... amd b.e chips way easier...

coz i got a board that can't run blend test on crippled core. i ran 4 instances on blend test w/ each assigned to each core. run core 0, fine > run core 1 1, system locked up.hard reset windows, run 4 instances of prime again. start core 0, 2, & 3, prime runnin fine. but once i start core 1, system locked up immediately...

what is d volt shown in cpu-z?

this is very subjective bro... some chips (small amount thou) do fare further w/ d use of acc. as for d prime issue, that is d reason why we can hardly see prime result @ super high clock rite?

thou denebs have improved in htt oc, but still not as gud as d gud old f3...

diff acc value will help bro. cause of this: d crippled core but if u put d correct acc, u won't be seein this kinda thing.

from what i understand acc add (+%) /minus (-%) voltage from cores. logically it should be +% but not all d times...

trial & error is d key, that's what oc is all about isn't it?
