QUOTE(shinjun @ Mar 27 2009, 11:06 AM) Happy Birthday to TS. ss for oc setup & voltage. siggy will help too... 1.4v is a tad high for a 3.0GHz, but still ok. Btw, back to overclocking matter. I have a problem here, my 5000+BE running at 3ghz@vcore 1.41 when running 8m SuperPI it will blue screen. But when running 1m it's fine. |

QUOTE(shinjun @ Mar 27 2009, 11:44 AM) Ermm, not same for them coz i add on another 2 stick later. have u tried oc w/ 2 sticks only? it could be d imc of ya chip not strong enuf to handle 4 sticks. try to bump chipset voltage by a notch or 2, mite able to stabilize d prime. Btw, will change to 2x2gb DDR800 later. And previously for my setup, I didnt clock my RAM i let it run at default. |

QUOTE(bobiac @ Mar 27 2009, 02:25 PM) Athlon 64 X2 7750+ (Black Edn.) 2.70Ghz 3MBCache 2000HT RM275 [taken from pczone pricelist] ok, but it's an agena so don't put too much expectation of it, i'd say 3.3~3.4GHz is d max for 24/7 depend on cooling. this one good? since i didnt have basic in AMD OC so it will be a problem for me. but nvm i can ask uncle google for info. advantage of b.e is d unlocked multi, much more freedom in oc & more combination of htt + cpu multi. QUOTE(astria @ Mar 27 2009, 02:28 PM) ah right... finally... how noob i am... u'll be surprise that d temp will stay almost d same even w/ few bumps of voltage. deneb really gud in temp especially w/ 3 cores, it's super cool... using Biostar's Hardware Monitor: 2.8GHz, 4 cores, idle 34C, full load 46C thx a lot bro QUOTE(bobiac @ Mar 27 2009, 02:36 PM) im gonna buy one set of cpu lol. ddr2 = dfi 790fxbbtw hello astria. aha. erm about mobo? any recommendation? for ram i go for team extreme 2gbkit 1200Mhz. ddr3 = biostar 790gx (more power phase but still w/ d screwed layout - primary pci-e slot in d middle of nowhere why not get 4gb instead? if u want high speed ddr1066 will do d job well enuf, thou i'd recommend get a pair of ddr2 800 & clock d hell outta it, save $$$ + some fun playin around. just my 2 cents thou. QUOTE(fuzore @ Mar 27 2009, 02:46 PM) @bobiac dont wanna join the tricore tribe arrrr.... talk is cheap bro, d diff between kumar & heka is huge for poor man like me... come on KUMA X2 so why not just add one more HEKA X3 so can always ask ur friend @astria for Q&A what.... QUOTE(bobiac @ Mar 27 2009, 02:51 PM) that y im asking here. dfi... cough... cough... hehe. x3, x2, nvm. juz wan play with amd since got extra money lol. x4 no need. my brother hav it. so i juz go play with his pc. Biostar TA790GX3 stated ATi hybrid technology. so AMD 790GX Chipset with ATI Radeon HD 3300 Graphics can CF with anything? im gonna buy this mobo if got many ppl suggest it. P/s: for budget it will be around 3k. extra bonus money from cny. didnt use until now. QUOTE(astria @ Mar 27 2009, 03:01 PM) try to play w/ diff acc value for each core bro, core 1 (2nd core) is d crippled core. try w/ diff acc values for that particular core while set 0 to others. u'll find one which is most stable. i did this on my fxb, should have some similarities i guess. QUOTE(XiuKeong @ Mar 27 2009, 03:06 PM) yes i'm poor, ask bro astria he'll tell u i dressed like begger when i passed d chip to him... answer is no, not w/ 790gx/fx. QUOTE(astria @ Mar 27 2009, 03:08 PM) for starters like bobiac & i, be chip does make our lives easier... QUOTE(fuzore @ Mar 27 2009, 03:09 PM) ah_khoo whats ur way of setting on the GX3? core 0 = 0%core 1 = -12% core 2 = 0% core 3 = 0% from what i read in xs, weaker core should be assigned + value (more juice will be supplied), but strange enuf for my case -12 just fitted well. imo d trick is one need to find out d weaker/crippled core 1st, once it's done ya live will be less miserable. i can't guarantee prime stable thou as i only tried it on my fxb which can never be prime stable (blend test) & around 6 hours on 790gx3... QUOTE(astria @ Mar 27 2009, 03:15 PM) only the 0904 batch (ie 2009 Week 4) x3 can unlock, 710 included... yup, that's what i saw just now... now in market i see are 0907... all these confirm cannot... QUOTE(XiuKeong @ Mar 27 2009, 03:29 PM) So far 3.0ghz... ermm... it's ya choice on d mobo. 7750b.e @ 3.2GHz is quite common on decent boards. 3.1ghz not stable. Should be my mobo problem... For temp, can go below 40 in ac room... Added on March 27, 2009, 3:32 pm Erm...Not sure Still choosing between Jetway ha03-ultra and ma3-79gdg... But I saw at overclock.net, most of the 7750 users can get 3.1ghz stable on biostar 790gx 128m...Can't find any jetway user there. QUOTE(bobiac @ Mar 27 2009, 03:33 PM) nowadays, i cant find 4800 T.T intel quaddies hard to c too... amd b.e chips way easier... if can sure i sapu ma. oso is ocing amd hard? tried oc my bro pc. hard LOL. till i beh tahan then i reset CMOS oni. QUOTE(astria @ Mar 27 2009, 03:38 PM) coz i got a board that can't run blend test on crippled core. i ran 4 instances on blend test w/ each assigned to each core. run core 0, fine > run core 1 1, system locked up.hard reset windows, run 4 instances of prime again. start core 0, 2, & 3, prime runnin fine. but once i start core 1, system locked up immediately... what is d volt shown in cpu-z? QUOTE(astria @ Mar 27 2009, 11:34 PM) even d intel quaddies are not easy as abc123 like amd b.e chips... QUOTE(cyberloner @ Mar 27 2009, 11:41 PM) From what i learn by wasting so much time on the phenom 2, it have a wall on prime95 stable... this is very subjective bro... some chips (small amount thou) do fare further w/ d use of acc. as for d prime issue, that is d reason why we can hardly see prime result @ super high clock rite? Trying to get 3.6 stable is no way at the moment (Hope some new chipset will help such as sb750 helps phenom 1)... even pump +vcore +0.150 +0.175 +0.20 all will get BSOD and restart... tried add cpu-nb as well.. fail... But my cpu will stay stable at 3562Mhz.... prime for 7 hours without any problem. Confirm ACC is not helping Phenom II but makes it easy to crash ... thou denebs have improved in htt oc, but still not as gud as d gud old f3... QUOTE(cloudwan @ Mar 27 2009, 11:58 PM) Iyer ker gift from fiancee? it's really a gift bro. i'm not record fetish, all my entries are just so so only to be honest, nothing to brag about. Ker u just can't stand seeing the X2 7750 record not being broken by anyone yet? Really man in the space of a year u already gone thru how many cpu's meh? If i'm not mistaken u gone thru X2 38+ F3>Phenom 9550>Phenom 9850>Phenom 9950>Phenom 9750>Phenom II 720>X2 7750?? Did i miss anything or ter'add anything? AMD should made u their mascot ler.. Kekekeke as for d list, u missed out some while added some... |

You missed out his 9600BE and 9650 i think Yeah..nowadays AMD love multis more than HTT but not all chips.. QUOTE(astria @ Mar 28 2009, 12:41 AM) wat does it mean when it becomes like this (the start menu part)??? diff acc value will help bro. cause of this: d crippled core but if u put d correct acc, u won't be seein this kinda thing. no oc on the integrated graphic, running the CPU on 4 cores @ 3.3GHz (200 x 16.5) QUOTE(cyberloner @ Mar 28 2009, 12:42 AM) 3.6 failure.... so sad... from what i understand acc add (+%) /minus (-%) voltage from cores. logically it should be +% but not all d times... by the way ah_khoo... does acc helps for you? i just tried enable all 4 core 2% and auto... both not helping at all... Does we need add more percent? Just never familiar with ACC yet... and surf a lot web all said it is not helping Phenom II only... Hope future SB does help P2.... Acc2 maybe trial & error is d key, that's what oc is all about isn't it? |
