Greetings to all the Wii player!

Wanted to get some advice on Nintendo Wii. Formerly I'm a PS supporter but when out of console game for long. Just recently I got attracted to Wii. After so many years not playing console game, its total blurry for me now. Wanted to you guys pro to help out.

What's the different between "Modified Version" and "Orginal Version"?

smile.gif As understand, after mod can play pirated games. But after mod can play original game too?

smile.gif How bout online? Wii have build in receiver, rite?

smile.gif Online features such as download games, chat, surf net, and etc... After mod can I still do that?

smile.gif Heard bout software update and also multiplayer online coming very soon.. so mod version can go for all these?

smile.gif What's Mii?

Hope you guys pro could help bring me back to console world... tongue.gif

Wii have pretty rigid region lock, the Mod is used to bypass that.

smile.gif As understand, after mod can play pirated games. But after mod can play original game too?

Yes. But some of the older mod-chip might have problems playing certain original games such as Smash Bro Brawl.
So it is advisable to install a mod-chip, and add a "switch" that allow it to be switch off when not needed.

smile.gif How bout online? Wii have build in receiver, rite?

Yes.

smile.gif Online features such as download games, chat, surf net, and etc... After mod can I still do that?

Yes. Remember to do a "Brazil Hack" to purchase Wii-points using Credit Cards. Brazil Hacks is simple, that means select "Brazil" as your host country in Wii settings.

smile.gif Heard bout software update and also multiplayer online coming very soon.. so mod version can go for all these?

Not sure.

smile.gif What's Mii?

Mii is a cute little replica of yourself in Wii. It is digital version of a "Barbie Doll" in Wii, just that it is more customizable.

Hope you guys pro could help bring me back to console world...  tongue.gif

Also to add. Wii's original games are pretty affordable to purchase locally.
We have a few forumers selling them at reasonable price.

If u're a PS supporter..i suggest u go buy 360 or the ps3. Really!!

the big deal when u mod...u have a risk of bricking ur wii when u update ur wii's firmware. Some ppl even accidentally update when it comes with a new game..

other than the usual reason..modded wii gave u access to play all region of games.

Mii is you..virtually.

He might be a PSX gamer, hmm.gif
and exit the game-scene during "PSX vs Saturn vs N64" era. hmm.gif

Really. If he has exited the game-scene for that long,
Wii is a place to pick up gaming as a hobby again.

360 and PS3 have very limited appeal,
mostly games that were too complicated for busy professional,
and many offer flashy graphic with little depth.

i just ask him to think it through... nod.gif

i used to think that way too...no time for gaming etc..so i got the wii...but after a while i realised i miss the type of games that's on the 360 and the ps3 (namely genre such action n fps such as metroid, zelda, re4 and more action oriented gameplay). It's just the type of game i prefer to play and yes...i dun mind saying i want hd graphic to accompany it too. nod.gif

if he really want to go Wii..then by all means do it...i'm keeping my wii too for the future zelda, metroid and perhaps a new RE port.

Thanks for the clarification everyone. I had tried PS3 already but find not so appealing. Old gaming method. So pls don't think anyone is pulling other console player. Make it a peaceful thread. tongue.gif

Another few question,

smile.gif after moded I still can play original game rite? Just can't do any updates of firmware only.

smile.gif how bout after moded, I still can download games from the website? Cos I'm thinking moded is like using pirated Windows. Can use but can't update.

smile.gif I made some enquiries with some seller that mod chip is not advisable. They refer to mod by software. So I guess shouldn't be much problem.

Sigh.. should I buy mod version or original version? sad.gif

Btw, notice... no much ladies playin Wii wor. So sien lor...... tongue.gif
