Cukai pintu is not 'quit rent'. In fact it is also known as Cukai Taksiran. This tax is levied by your local municipal council ie. MBPJ/MPSJ.
Quit Rent is Cukai Tanah is levied by the Land Office (Jabatan Tanah & Galian)

QUOTE(jootat @ Mar 3 2009, 12:00 AM) what the heck ... i dont even received any bill from them ... and also i just got my house like 3 months ago? how do i pay them? i dont know who to call to check on this. You can get a copy from the relevant "Majlis". Either go to the main office counter (eg. MBPJ at Jln. Yong Shook Lin) and provide name and postal address. Alternatively you could try to register online. I have not tried this so don't know if they need your account number (which you do not know yet).
