Intend to get Tube early next week. FP advice to check foe dead pixel by setting screen to one colour. How to do this?

I still do not get reply to my question on how to change the screen to one colour in order to check for dead pixel. Need to do this in the shop before buying.

After 2 postings I still do not get any reply to my question. In the first page new buyers are advised to check for dead pixels, amongst other things, by changing the screen to one colour. How to do this quickly in the shop?

Any sifu can tell me whether it is possible to upgrade tube firmeware to V20 by just using Phoenix and firmware file (like RM-356_APAc_20.0.012_V4.0_5800xm.EXE) so that no need to go to NCC or use NSU? Just like dead phone flashing.

Bought Red Nokia 5800 XM this afternoon. It is an Avax set and was pleasantly surprised that it comes with V20 firmware....save me a lot of trouble.
