Do you know if the 5800 xm needs an antivirus program?

Hey guys,

I need your help. Today when I tried to play a video, the screen just went blank. I can click on the screen and it shows that the video bar is playing but no sound/picture. Also when I opened the camera to take video, i can record, but when i want to view again i get a blank screen. I am using V20. Is this a firmware issue or hardware? If hardware I have gotta take it to NCC... please help guys.

Previously I can play videos just fine. This happened all of a sudden. Even when I upgraded to V20 video playback was fine.

i mean all videos on the phone. I can record video but then cannot playback.

Ok now I transferred a video to the phone and i get sound but no video. The other day when i plugged in my phone in mass storage mode, it said must scan and fix so i clicked that. Maybe that messed it up. What do you think?

Did a nokia back up, then i keyed in *#7378#, phone did not respond. Clicked call it said: request not complete

Alright guys, I did a hard reset like was stated on the first page. Thank god. Now everything is working. Do i still need to run scan disk on the memory card or is it no needed. thanks again guys With all of you Nokia NCC is not needed.

Ok I put in the memory card, and it reinstalled everything, now the video does not work. So i guess i have to uninstall the apps one by one now. It has to be an app problem right?

Hey man, I uninstalled the application called hand wave and also a barcode reader application. It is either one of these. Anyway, thanks for everyones help

Wah the casing looks good! If someone can order bulk I am in for that case. Me tried the zagg and failed...haha..

So far for me using V20 all ok, except once in a while, very rarely, whole phone hangs and the three buttons in front are on. Usually happens after a call. Other than that well worth the upgrade..

Hey was just surfing and read something about bb5 reaper... to install ngage games on the 5800. Has anyone tried?

Yeah maybe we should all buy together, can save on shipping... but still quite $$$

bb5 reaper should be out at the end of Feb/ beginning of March so we can use ngage games on our 5800... only thing might have to pay.... but looks very promising.

Another failed zagg user here. I tried for 1/2 an hour and after i was done there was still bubbles and some dust underneath the shield. Tried to use tape to remove the dust but can't do so like we can with a normal screen protector. So i left on the sides and the back. Had to repurchase a new screen protector for the front. Then in my pocket, dust got under the sides. Finally, i just took the whole thing off. Wasted 80 bucks...

Yeah, me also did not use the black case that came with it, so tight, if call come in and you in a rush, for sure phone will fly

Hey any of you all used a silicon case for your 5800? Does it attract dust, etc.. and anyone where to buy one?

Was reading online, got the doom game for our phone. Anyone tried? any good? Still not sure if gameplay will be good without physical buttons
