It'll be right up there with the Keegan rant if Rafa doesn't sort it out and win the league, becoz this is their year.

Giggsy is the epitome of what a true professional footballer should be like. The hunger to win and his influence on the team alone is worth appreciating. I'm sure Fergie and the rest of the more experienced heads have implanted this sense of hunger as well on all of the players, especially the younger ones like Rooney and Ronaldo. Why would you want to be anywhere else?! At United, there's a bond between players non-existent in many other clubs and the club keeps setting high standards season after season. Makes me proud to be a United fan.

I'll join you guys for the Pool clash. Lets ring Hartamas Square with United chants and paint the place red (our red of course)

QUOTE(maxizanc @ Mar 8 2009, 05:07 PM)
Why whenever there is a troll in other thread who is also a glory hunter in their view, they always referring us as a glory hunter?

for example: other fan can't stand with the club's form, he/she insulted the club. The the other member reaction is like: go support mu and join their fan who don't know nuts about football.

i really can't stand this. Why they always referring Man Utd fan as glory hunter fan without knowing them well. Like they know every man Utd supporter. Like Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea fan have no such fan. really hate this.
*
Leave them be. If they're gonna want to stereotype us in such a way, who can stop them? We'll only bring ourselves to their level by arguing with them, so why bother? If they claim to be such righteous fans of their respective clubs, and that all other rival supporters are glory hunting smugs, its their prerogative. End of the day, we are the ones who know how deeply we love the club. They can paint themselves with the tag of "best fans in the world" all they like, but in reality, we know which club gets the most endearing support. "Best fans in the world," "Best midfield in the world," "Best away support in the world." Whatever.

Well I guess what has to be said about us being touted as glory hunting fans has already been said by some of the members here. Nothing we can do to change their perception. What we do know however, is that every morning they wake up and see the league table, they'll be caught in admiration. We deliver results, coupled with football the way it should be played. I can see why they have the right to feel so bitter. Seeing your rivals poised to topple your proud record does your head in.

Btw, midweek games will usually kick off around the 345 to 4am mark, until daylight saving that is, which is about the end of the month I think. Then we'd be seeing one hour earlier kickoffs.

There's this thread on RAWK that is absolutely hilarious. The thread title is:

What Liverpool have that Manchester United don't:

The list goes on with these:

The best goalkeeper in the world
The best defender in the world (Carragher)
The best defensive midfielder in the world (Mascherano)
The best attacking midfielder in the world (Gerrard)
The best striker in the world (Torres)
The best spine to their team in the world
The best manager in the world
The best fans in the world

A few replies later, a banned Manc retorts:

Why the feck haven't you won't the league then? laugh.gif

At least we have the best prawn sandwiches in the world. Phew.

Wow, its getting crowded. Lets try and get a few good chants going. Among the more popular ones these days at Old Trafford are the U-N-I-T-E-D and White Pele chants. Throw in more guys, and hopefully by then we'll have enuff on our hands to throw a partay.

Gary Neville is a red, is a red, is a red,
Gary Neville is a red, He hates Scousers!

Once again the events of the past two days have shown the utter dominance of English clubs when it comes to the big games in Europe. Three English teams swept aside their Italian counterparts last night, leaving no more representation of that country in the tourney, and another English club left the Spanish champions in the dust. I expect the big guys upstairs (the senile authorities) to go on a rant about how its "unfair" and "unhealthy." Heres a case in point. United started the game last night with four Englishmen (Rio, Scholes, Carrick, Rooney) and another two Brits (O Shea, Giggs). Inter? Only the young Santon was flying the local flag for them if I wasn't mistaken. Of coz, things like these will be overlooked by them Anti-England "geniuses."

Could we be seeing another all English final here? Might not see it, but I have a pretty funny feeling that we'll be seeing at least one English team make it to Rome. Who do I want to meet? Meeting Pool will be fantastic (but that'd be reserved for the finals I guess)

Added on March 12, 2009, 10:08 amAnyone saw Montella's penalty last night? Had me in stitches watching it in slow-mo. Graceful like a ballet dancer.

BTW what has happened to Brown and Neville? :S I know Brown's recovered but where the heck is he? and isn't Neville down with a virus? What bloody virus keeps him out that long? Louisaha virus?

But with the absentees, we are blessed with the special one that is John O Shea. Goalkeeper, left back, centre back, right back, defensive midfielder, striker - he can play them all. 22Legend

Ahh, the jack of all trades but master of none. He's been playing very well this season. Played a heck lot of games in our rotating defence during our clean sheet run. His passing though leaves a lot to be desired, and he often gets skinned against better oppositions, but he's been really solid. Dracula Berba would have fed on his blood for not squaring him the ball for the open goal during the Inter game had we not gone thru though.

Btw, have any of you watched The Curious Case of Ryan Giggs?

Probably Nani and Wacko Jacko can team up for a performance when the star hits the UK. And I mean team up for musical purposes, not an underaged male only orgy.
