Hi guys and gals out there,

I will be returning from Australia, hence thinking about bring couple of iphone sets back to sell to anyone that might be interested.

Of course the price that i'll be selling will be much cheaper than the current Msia market price right now. I'm trying to gauge to see if there's any interest among the forum members. Any response or comment will be much appreciated. Cheers.

IF you are going to sell cheaper than market price.
You do not have needs to gauge interest because people will be grabbing from you.

After about a couple of months of looking around, I finally got myself a white SingTel 3G 16gb unit albeit a used one.

So, from what I have gathered, the going prices are as appended below. Since you are bringing in new I shall just advise on that.

NZed : 8gb - RM2200 to RM2300
16gb - RM2450 to RM2650

S'pore : 8gb - RM2400 to RM2500
16gb - RM2650 to RM2800

In case any adversed remarks might come in, please take note that this is what I found out (some with some negotiations) and it is by no means exhaustive.

Hope this helps.

Well i have not decided on the pricing yet, since my cost is pretty much subjected to the exchange rate, which is currently working out nicely in my favour. biggrin.gif

What is certain is that i will definitely price it at a price cheaper than Msia or maybe Sg.

And yeah, Australia's units are unlocked. So, do check back in from time to time.

That's very informative.

Your pricing sounds about right. I have friends in Msia that complained on how costly it is to get one in the market. So, i thought i could create a win-win situation here. A cheaper price for prospective buyers and some profit for myself.

On a lighter note, it is win-win-lose.

You win, buyers win but other resellers lose, when you give them a run for their money. whistling.gif

But it's free enterprise and clean competition is healthy. Cheers.

well that's true for optus...but you know, there's alot of ways of getting around it...u need not pay to have the phones unlocked...trust me on that... wink.gif

i'm also considering buying from ebay...they have unlocked units and some of them are selling at a price lower than the retails...

so yeah...i'm keeping my options open...thanks for the input

When will you be back actually? I will be getting my Singapore version hopefully next month but I have a friend who is really looking forward to a new unlocked & cheap IPhone. So you have a customer there already if your price is good smile.gif

Hi guys,

Thanks for all your support. As you have probably known, Maxis will officially carry iphone from 20 March. *Did not see it coming though*

I have looked through their packages and honestly, though i think it can be priced cheaper, they are nonetheless quite reasonable. At such, I've decided to cancel my earlier proposal on getting iphone back from Australia. Probably better off signing a package once i get back. Besides, they offer technical support which i find quite handy in case craps pop out.

Anyhow, really appreciate all your feedbacks. If i find any more sweat stuff, i'll be sure to post and let you guys know about it. Cheers man.

Hi Kangpak, take a look at the iphone Malaysia discussion thread in this forum...there are some feedbacks regarding Maxis plan with iphone. Not all members are Maxis fan, so if your iphone is cheap enough, there are still people out there prefer to buy direct from you, without having to bound to Maxis contract. thumbup.gif

Yes, support on this rather than get M's not so friendly package rate.
