Hi tech, can intro some proxy to me? I've tried a bunch but none is working although checked at http://www.ip-adress.com/Proxy_Checker/ it says working...

My connection to internal sites is okay now, but my direct downloads shoots up to 100kb/sec then after few sec it drops down to around 8kb/sec.. anyone know how I can solve this?
*
actually using proxy also depends on time & ur current ip range.

like i found 1 nice hk proxy, but down during night time............. doh.gif

i also tested pinging the same proxy wit different ip range & i found dat the different is huge.
example, if i use 60.52 wit dat proxy, speed sux @ 300+ ping.
wen get 118.101 ip, its extremely fast @ 100+ ping.

icic, thanks bro..

Mind telling me where you source for proxy and how do you ping proxy to see the speed?
*
there is no perfect proxy.

different proxy for different purposes & different timing.
i'm testing a lot of proxies everyday.

to ping proxy, open run, enter "ping 'ip address here' -t"

example: ping 202.190.197.143 -t

Hm... Not sure also...It was really stable between 80-100... But when my friends came back, the speed dropped to 10-20 only...
Only at midnite onwards, the average speed back to 70-80, with 4users using the same line.

Ow, of course I use Open-Half connection breaker (I set it to 100), and TCPOptimizer... << REally really useful..  thumbup.gif
*
i use speedconnect, not freeware.
but the built in bandwidth tester & bandwidth monitor is very useful.

A word of advise. 75% of broadband disconnection is not caused by slowmyx but rather than the modem itself is overheating.

So always remember to provide your modem(s) with adequate airflow to cool it down.

Me? I'm using Belkin and it's the best for me.
I opened the casing of my Belkin modem and put a low speed 120MM fan on top of it.

Warranty? Nahh, Belkin doesn't put any warranty sticker on their modem / routers, so there's no worry in RMA'ing them if in any case they died on me. I just screw the casing back into the modem and wallah! Warranty is still valid. laugh.gif

PS: Oh and Belkin offers Lifetime Warranty. wub.gif
PS: Please don't misunderstand, I'm not promoting Belkin. blush.gif

TM customer service is not directly responsible for the rebate.
wen u ask for rebate, dey hav 2 suggest it to higher management & approval is the higher management's call.

for chance of successful rebate, u must 1st call the CS & open up a report on ur problem.
the report is the "evidence" which dey will show the higher management.

last month, during first few days of massive slowdown, i've called CS, & dey open up a report on my case. @ dat time, dey still dunno wats the problem.
a day later, i email dem to request for rebate.
i got reply a day later which approve my rebate. @ dat moment, dey still haven't announce the APCN2 problem. i guess dey still dunno.
but since my rebate has been approved, so dey can't withdraw it bck.......

as for the calculation, i dunno how dey calculate.

any rebate request after TM announce the APCN2 problem is rejected.
so u can't use dis argue point anymore.

u guys, just keep some record.
later send email to complain.

for those who always slow o got problem, dis is the best time to argue & get rebate.
coz the slowdown dis time, its surely tmnut fault, no excuse.

Is it me or does anyone notice every time TMNUT got problem MCMC@SKMM site cannot access...
Overload or ... ?
*
wats dat use?
edi complain countless time.
look @ the complains statistic, is there any different in our broadband since we complained?
no, the only thing is it gets slower.
QUOTE(Lineage @ Apr 5 2009, 02:18 PM)
actually why want to blame Streamyx? also not their fault..not they go and break the circuit on the SMW3..
*
TM could hav, & shud hav, done better on their routing.
not like v all depends on a single undersea cable to surf US site.
why other ISP & other country broadband not effected or @ least not so slow?
coz tmnut dunno how 2 route.

even wen there is not problem, using proxy load majority of the website faster den default IP.
wat is dis? routing sux la.
dis is unacceptable, under normal circumstances, it shud b & must b faster den using proxy.
