l've been to many game shops who post on lyn. most of them had at least friendly service. some of them even go beyond the norm to provide excellent service.

gamers hideout has the worst service out of all of them. l wanted to buy a ps3 stick from them, l asked for price, they answered and after that they totally ignored me when i wanted more info. 2 ppl behind the counter bz playing sfiv. l got fed up & left

lf 1 of them was the boss, l wish him good luck with his business, & I will never recommend any1 to buy from them. lf they were both hired staff, they should go work in a non-service related job.

Last time i bought game there, they stop playing. And also shake hands , and welcome me. Same goes GamersSolution.. but GamersSolution guy don't play games

not only is their service bad, their prices are also more expensive compared to other sellers in lowyat. better you go buy from lowyat seller then from GH.

LOL... you better get your flame suit ready because GH has a lot of hardcore loyal fanbase around here especially from the 360 community... anyway, this is not the first time I've heard about this though but you don't have to open a new thread just for this. It causes suspicious you know...

Perhaps they are getting cocky since everyone's once looked up at them. i've got a bad experience from them as well, just like you, after asking for price...just leave me there like i'm worthless or something, straight playing their game (at that time its guitar heroes....oh i wanna add...they sucked at it by the way)...now my new gameshop is alex at sungei wang...even though the shop is quite small...their service is quite good...now both of them were playing games at that time...but then suddenly one of them stopped and asked me whether or not i want to play with them while waiting for my sf4 to arrive....

GH is more famous with 360 people compare to Playstation people in here.

I also know some people in here is quite dissatisfied with their service and go to Bernard, Alex, Nelson or Keane instead.

anyways, TS should complain to Djinn regarding this issue

Got my PS3 SF4 for 210 there last sunday since going there for a movie also.
Althou Bernard qoute 15 cheaper but transport to his place took like 15 and plus 5 for parking.

bought my PSP there, last time Djinn still havent open the GH. Still in One Utama. Personally, Djinn is a good seller. he treats his customers well,its those pricks of the staffs that he has are causing the problem. Maybe GH can do somethng about them. for god's sake, they are sellers, not players. theyshould be concerntrating on the sales rather than playing the games there. nce eh, get paid to play games. The only thing I have is the price, which I can understand, being in the Damansara area and all.

I'm only aim this shop when desperately to find and play some game tittles cos its very near at my home

well i've known both jason and eddie for at least 5 years now. i bought my xbox 360 from them at gh, and i bought my ps3 at the shope where both of them used to work. they are really nice guys. i guess its the staff you've encountered.

and yeah, no offence, but sales for them are through the roof, with a 2nd shop opened at tropicana city. but to jason and eddie, you've gotta protect your client base. with more and more people selling games here on lyn just like how jason (djinn) started.

all in all, i still do buy from them. just contact djinn to complain or to make pre booking etc.

i also buy all my games from Alex. his service is number ONE! he delivered SF4 to me on the very day it was released here. where got service like that from GH?

I've got bad experience with GH as well.
Bought a steering wheel for the Xbox, the box is nicely seal with GH stickers. Once I got home turned out it's an opened unit, everything inside has been opened although it looks new.

I reckon some one at the shop must have opened it and test drive himself and put it back into the box nicely.

Seriously, if you wanna sell an opened unit, let the customer know first, because once opened it's considered second hand already.

But I'm still buying gaming stuff from them, they got some stuffs that other shops don't have.

Owners if GH, if ya hear me, don't take this thread as flame, take it as a feedback to improve your business, I know your business is already good but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be improving.

Yup...they are not THAT friendly indeed...and to top it off...the games and accessories cost more that other places...

I would call Djinn friendly but he's more approachable than others in his shop...and selling SFIV at 215 when others are selling at 185-195 it's cut-throat...but to each his own...

i must agree that the staff's service is lacking.
once i went there to look for rockband (360), i went into the shop, walked around for like 5 minutes looking that the game selection. i know they dun have it but i thought i just asked, but no one attended to me. both of them were busy attending a couple buying some random game.

and i must agree that their pricing is a bit steep compared to other shops (alex, nelson). and the fact that they dun have a branch in KL town makes me go to their shop only a few times.

(i did bought guitar hero WT guitar set from them tho)

me myself bought all my PS3 games from alexwlh...

Asking about PS3 hori stick, they gave me price. They even let me try out and play SFIV on the hori stick (though it was 360 version, PS3 one sold out).

my own experience with GH as a console seller in S'wak..

well,nth personally but i did went to survey GH Tropicana branch when i went to KL to see their shop since GH is so famous...

nobody attend to me as well when i walk in the shop so i felt left out and leave..mayb bcaz i look too young...abit disappointed lo caz actually i expecting to have a little chat with Djinn hoping him to share some experince in gaming industry from the same point of view as a seller...

but no doubt their shop is well decorated.

of course they let you try... they are playing while working and same time take advantage of it and furthermore got excuses for the boss..

No worries Djinn/Jason, we just want what's the best for your business. Im glad u can take criticism head on. Sometimes is hard to swallow the term "the customers is always right" but its them, the consumers who kept you going and made GH what it is right now. I know cos im in the business line too and some customers are just plain annoying but i we must make sure they come back again, that's why no matter how rude they are, treat them nice, and they will come back again...

Cineleisure for 360, Tropicana for PS3.

May I know the price and time limits (and any conditions) for renting? And perhaps a number to ask in advance if I could rent a game?

Just wasted to add my 2 cents.

Thus far I have not gotten any bad service from GH. Then again when I wish to inquire or purchase I always set an appointment with them so that the expectation is right.

Regarding pricing wise, one must take into consideration where the shop is located. And also the after sales service. Not only has GH been doing this line of business a long time but also the few shops that go legit all the way.

Lastly they also do marketing my setting up all this tournaments with really nice prices. How many shops you know which are doing so.

Anyway I hope Djinn will sort out GH customer service issues for the benefit of everyone. Cheers and have a great weekend people

Some shop able to sell much lower price and still making profit out of it however no offend some shop uplift more which selling 10-20% higher than usual... i felt sorry for the buyer... ... wakaka...

other shop can sell lower since they can earn more with ahem games.. but GH sells only original games.. so hard for them to sells cheaper since that's the only source for them to earn money.. hahaha..
but i dont mind bout that.. i only buy from cheapest seller.

ahem games only will net you a maximum of RM5 profit per disc. plus, nowadays not many ppl go for ahem games since they know they can't play online with it.

yes, i would go to the shop that offers me the cheapest price. plus now got bernard's games.com.my. cheap!!

bernard shop is a problem for me to get there and that area is very dangerous......

prefer alex shop since parking is not a problem and a little safer....

it's in the town center. and as a person who stays in KL, it's the best place to go as it's near and the parking is flat rate.
plus, i always park right in front of the door goin into his shop. LOL.

alex's shop is right smack of jam center in kl. i only go there during weekdays and only at certain times. definitely not as convenient as bernard's.

there are lot's of ppl who dont play online... there are lot's of ppl who play online with ahem disc.. sure they earn a lot from that. if 1 disc rm5 as what u said, 100 disc already rm500..

but how many ppl are buying from 1 shop.
i myself used to have a games shop. and i tell you, selling disc alone is not a way to make money.
you need other services like repairs, selling consoles, etc.

ya laa..understood that.. but we're talking bout disc's....

what about the disc then?
the difference is just volume but the profit is almost the same.
you sell 10 ori games at 30 ringgit profit = RM300
you sell 100 ahem at 3 ringgit profit = RM300.

same thing.

of coz u dont go there at weekends...too jam.... but i dont like sogo that area.......

so i can buy from alex and nelson more than bernard......
