Apparently we might see a better physics in this one. As confirmed by Codemasters, they are already changing they way car physics handled in their racing games, especially FFB deadzones (for those who have blank face on this one, it is Force Feedback, the realistic feel you get from your steering wheel when you play. the deadzone is a zone where the FFB won't work).
As shown above, when comparing to a simulator, in this case rFactor (and also LFS or GTR), the FFB is smooth throughout taking the corner, thus you will feel a realistic feedback from your steering. In Grid, ppl complained that the FFB is not linear to the steering, and feels like the car is turning on a pole instead of it being linear. Codemaster had fixed this for F1, and chances are it will also be in DIRT

Tested this last night. Steering is much better than GRID. I am really suprised. And awesome effects as well. But the intro are too lengthy and it took me a while before I can go to the option page =.=

Just download the demo from Steam today~
I have Logitech MOMO but seems I don't know how to configure it correctly, any sifu here can share their wheel settings?
And I used to play GRID and NFS:SHIFT, feels like the car acceleration are too fast, and I can timing my gear change properly. Anyone have tips how to handle the car in Dirt 2?
btw, the game look solid and the car didn't feel floating like X360 version that I tried~
looking foward to buy the full game, when I got money~ now all money gone buy Dragon Age and Assasin Creed 2~ haizzz...
hmm, it's auto configured for my G25. Anyways, other than gear 1 --> gear 2, I dun really feel that it's any different from grid or Shift. Heck, usually I shorten my gear ratio =3

well, the thing that this game lack is more kind of rally track (dirt, snow, asphalt, mud) and some car...will be great if got skyline lulz...their page in fb is been flood wit ppl demanding more track n car for d DLC..
I feel differently. I would prefer more RALLY cars, since I've been waiting for a rally game, NOT another GRID. I mean where are the Citroen? Ford other than the old Ford? Skoda? Heck, I want the Renault Clio, Proton S2000, Peugeot, Abarth. Those were the cars that I was looking forward to drive in the game. But noooo, there were none. CMR was never a perfect game, but at least the basis was a rally game, where you tackle the stages with a co driver. This feels too commercialised, too fake in the end. Where is my snow stages? where is my tarmac stages? All I see is gravel, dirt, gravel, dirt. PFFFFT

try using a wheel and u feel like, whoaa...y my drifting technique cant apply 1 i found out tat joystick cant over steer easily while wheel can enable u to over steer more lol...
True lol Btw, my replay. Not as good as General Odin's one tho. And stopped playing after I finished all of the rally stages. Does not feel like doing trucks.

Oh well if there is one reason I loved Dirt more than Dirt2, it's because of all the rally cars in Dirt, and lack of it in Dirt2. i mean c'mon! No Citroen? No Ford Focus? Loeb and Grönholm would be dissapointed to see the two most dominant cars in recent WRC history are not included.
