LOL. I experienced Fatal Error sometime, especially playing Tour Mode and get No.1 ranking.
I have some gameplay stuttering and lagging when go near or pass through the grass and trees areas.
Can someone confirm the HOTFIX works?

OMG! The CCC 9.11 Hotfix version is great!
It fixes numerous of bugs for DiRT 2 Gameplay.
My lagging on grass/trees terrain/areas gone.
However, this CCC 9.11 Hotfix seems to have micro stuttering sometime(10mins once and for like about 0.1-0.5seconds) for me. Yet, this is not a problem as it doesn't occur often too.
Moreover, I can set the graphic higher XD.
Highly recommended you guys to use this hotfix too.

Here, I think we should use this to play DiRT 2 before CCC 9.12 release.

But Western countries do not have DiRT 2 yet. Their release date had been changed to 8th December.

What GPU model are you running? I think it's because of Original CCC 9.11 have some problem on DiRT 2, so, they released a new fix for it.
CCC 9.10 seems don't have that problem for DiRT 2. However, CCC 9.10 sucks(for me).

Your RIG too powerful? Why it's only 1280x1024? Strange. I ran it at 1920x1080. LOL.

It seems you're running it using DirectX 9 after all with 1280x1024(small resolution).
Those graphic settings?

You need to download the latest MS Visual C++ 2005 and install it.
However, your specification, the GPU is decent but the RAM and Processor can be more.
If you have 4GB RAM, the entire gameplay will be improved.
Bear in mind that DiRT 2 is very heavy, 2X heavier than GRID.

Ya keh? I really felt that it's very heavy. As I can't Ultra all stuffs with 2X AA and 1920x1080 Resolution.
While GRID, I can Ultra all stuffs with 8X AA and 1920x1080 Resolution.
In addition, the graphic quality and gameplay realistic improvement is very good on DiRT 2.

I have a thought that because my eyes are sensitive, so, lower FPS a bit, I might see something lagging gua?

I do agreed with you. We gonna wait for the next CCC update.
The current HotFix version CCC already fixed some issues for me. I am quite happy with it.
Hope the CCC 9.12 will improve the gameplay. T.T

Nvidia always fast in Driver supports and updates for newer games. I hope AMD/ATi can do so too.

I got 100-120FPS if I didn't turn on Vsync but I hate my screen is tearinngggggg....
It doesn't look nice and sometime can disturb your gameplay too. T.T
After turning the Vsync on, the performance of course reduced but still OK can be played.

By the way, have anyone else have some tricks or software to make DiRT 2 runs better/smoother?

I found a very LoLing thing in DiRT 2. While you crush or blocked the road, the other Cars will stop and won't crush you. So, mean time, you must react quickly to go back to the original track before the other Cars start to move.
But for us, Human, when the Car block the road(in the games), we surely go crush it to make it go aside(which I usually do). But this is like talak moral. LOL.

DiRT 2 really got do research about the environment and stuffs of different continents. Malaysia's really got Malaysia feel XD. Rawang Kampong Tracks. Fuiyoh~
