I think this thing should not end in letter writing campaign only.

Once and for all we must make the government heed our voice.

No use if we only call them or write to them. They will NOT listen.

I think this is the time, while the Parliament session is on, we, as the Streamyx users, form a group and hand over our FORMAL PETITION to the politicians.

Let them hack up whatever, but at least better than they throw away our letters and forget everything.

What say you?

Even that "VERY GOOD GOVERNMENT" needs to be reminded now and then that we are the citizens, and without us, there will be no government, very good or not.

That is why I think it's time we go straight to the Parliament and make our case there !!

I can go, but I am not very good with talking. Reporters will be there and we need some kind of "STARS" to represent us to the media.

Who is handsome / pretty / sexy here?

they all sign non disclosure contract?

When you hire idiots, you don't need to force them to sign any non-disclosure agreement at all.

Idiots don't know much. They wanna "leak insider news" also cannot.

Too stupid !

are you completely void of the condition of malaysian politics >_> since the opposition has stepped up i believe things are way more stricter now but anyways let's not touch on that subject and stick to the general problem of streamyx being slow. Media coverage would be great however it would sound rather futile or childish unless you have a great story to back it up. Launch a campaign, get the bloggers to participate...create some kind of hoohah so they'd have something solid to talk about rather than "a buncha internet geeks are dissatisfied with streamyx services" or somethin like that >_>

i can't think of anything too radical because i don't find it's a wise course of action to you know cause a riot ? over an internet connection ? err...i'm really pissed and unsatisfied but i don't think a lot of people are willing to go that far. I believe mostly the young generation would be participating lol...

since other isp isnt any better than tmnet, most of us just endure
when d connection stabilize,we just shut up n go on with our daily life
its a cycle...
wht tm n us as consumers really need is a rival/competitor tht can break d monopoly(thts is asking quite a lot)
meanwhile, tis is an effort tht needs continuity.

When is the next election? Malaysian politics bore me so much I've not kept up with it. Suggestion is, if they want our votes, they MUST swear to do something bout this isp issue. If not, NO votes.

Added on February 22, 2009, 2:21 amWho is very serious, we need to make serious talk with well spelled out criteria that they must achieve when/if they take power. They must make sure isps follow the outline with high priority within a given period.

only by allowing a more competitive method in isp will solve the problem, more competition means more choice, better service and price might be more cheaper to consumer not only a single company that dominate all the market.

You are free to feel pessimistic.

Me?

I've already sent the complaint letter to Lim Guan Eng and Jeff Ooi, and come tomorrow I'll be knocking the door on the 28th floor Komtar of Penang, trying to get the Penang state gomen to do something.

It's fine to lament TM and all that, but if we DO NOTHING, nothing will change.

Streamyx will stay sux, and we continue to suffer.

If suffering is your preference, okay.

But if suffering ain't your cup of tea, start doing something to change this situation !!

For too long we haven't done anything and look what we got?

A SHIT GOMEN GIVING US A SHIT ISP !!!

hi
i can see that there are ppl here that are very vocal and interested. i am still keen on doing it the proper way instead of many many posts here.

in hand, i have a TM customer service personnel whos helping in filing this complaint as well as this is also affecting them ( imagine being yelled at 24/7 as well as repeating their script for years ). i plan to file in a proper statistics, report, some article in the appropriate media and a running blog.

if you guys want them to do something, you need to tell them what to do. ie. hire a proper group of ppl to look into the problem? private sect help into building the infrastructure? im not an IT expert. but a very frustrated internet user. i rely on the internet ALOT to do work.

so again, those who are keen, let me know. we setup a time to discusss.

I know Guan Eng isn't in BN, but if ALL OF US (including yours truly) can get people like Guan Eng and DSAI to SAY something about this matter, the impact would certainly be much bigger than my voice or yours.

Nobody is going to listen to me, but some people certainly would listen to DSAI and/or Guan Eng.

That is what I am aiming for --- making them championing our cause.

Our problem is this,

where we are using APCN2 which heavily rely on China-US CN and Japan-US CN for all our connection to US and the rest of the world. Which our bandwidth is control and limited by both of them as we are just renting the cable from them.

the solution is Asia-America Gateway (AAG) which is invested by Telekom & Maxis and 15 other telecommunication company in S.E. Asia and link to US directly which cost US$500million and will start soon i hope.
