i tried to finish it without anyone dying but (spoiler alert)

I wonder if I choose the wrong dialog again; after helping Miranda with her personal side-quest. All I get after that was a hand-shake and a cat-fight between Jack & Miranda.

Did Miri touch you at her office afterwards?

Do I have to play Mass Effect 1 to enjoy Mass Effect 2?

Tali? Weak? She was a beast and for me the Migrant Fleet quest was damn fun. Lots of emotional dialogue (Paragon interrupt ftw even though I don't plan to romance Tali), fun killing some flashlight heads again and intense shooting. I'm thankful for squad disrupter ammo.

But yes, do try out ME1 first even though ME2 is a totally different experience. Remember to patch it to avoid annoying bugs. The advantages are :

- new quests (some characters don't appear if you don't import an ME1 save)

- continuity (you get a good feeling when you see recurring characters and since it's been 2 years, the changes they went through can shock you)

- better grasp of the story (Joker especially has a line quoting Sovereign from the first game. I don't know if you get it if you don't import but it really brings back memories. Besides, you will understand all the references better)

- much better game overall (the default choices suck ass)

Meh, its ok. Better than the first game, partly because the Renegade dialogue is so much better written. Hell, even Paragon can be Renegade-ish. I'm so tired of Jennifer Hale after playing KotOR twice and she sounds like she overacts a bit too.

Play the 1st episode first before starting with ME2. Through out ME2, those that played the 1st will know that that your pass choices in the 1st episode is brought over to the 2nd game. I guarantee you will appreciate ME2 MUCH better if you finish the 1st; you will feel that the 2 game is a continuation of the 2.

Especially if you finished no.1 a few days before no.2. I still get excited whenever I see someone from ME1 and the way people from ME1 greet you and such, it feels so good.

yea, when ever you know or recognize sum1 from the 1st episode, you are bond to go "ooooo it's you...the b****/bum that i met in (insert planet)".

Remember Liara's line? Something about asari commandos. It gave me shudders because that's exactly what Benezia told Shepard on Noveria before the big fight.

For romance experts, can I still romance Miranda/Tali after rejected them? I heard to get Kelly up your cabin, you shouldn't have any romances until you finished the game.

And then can I re-romance them? How to initiate >_>

No, I haven't meet Liara yet; going tonight as I just finish Miranda's side quest before going to sleep yesterday nite.

Curious... how to have dinner with Kelly? Where's this romance/ hitting on you dialogue from her? Oh does Tali say anything else after she gets rejected? I feel kinda bad.

Ah, sorry for spoiling the Liara bit for you. I thought you finished the game liao.

no worries you didnt spoil anything yet. I can't quite remember the line. I will have to find out later when I get back home. All you have to do is to keep talking to Kelly after any quest and flirt with her.

I think I killed the flirting part by accident, nevermind.

Anyone else surprised with...

If Ash, Garrus and Liara are anything to go by, 2 years is a long time but there should be a dialogue option that lets her explain her behavior. I heard it's bugged though and sometimes doesn't appear.

yeah there's a option to listen to her story. something to do with business and friend.

ME1 is so confusing... i kindda like how ME2 where you just pick up ammo and upgrade guns. In ME1 you have to pick up ammo and guns and you can't duck and cover... i'm trying really hard to follow the storyline (kindda fell asleep at 1 point).
