It is an easy fix.
First, do a full restore through iTunes when your iPhone is connected to the PC.
Then, use Quickpwn to jailbreak and unlock your iPhone again. Just be sure to use the correct IPSW file for your iPhone and also be sure to the the bootloader 3.9 and 4.6 files ready.

After you successfully do a full restore and Quickpwn, that sim not supported message will not appear agian.

good luck.

Tell me if you need any help (:

You may read up on this link as well: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=926641

From that link, most officially-locked iPhones that have been upgraded to 2.2.1 will have their baseband automatically upgraded to 02.30.03, and currently there is no unlock solution for that yet. Even downgrading the firmware from 2.2.1 to an earlier firmware will not change the baseband back.

Sorry. I guess nothing much you can do except use your iPhone as an iPod Touch first, until the DevTeam comes up with a solution to unlock the 02.30.03 baseband.

Wrong. Even if he did upgrade to version 2.2.1 , and if he owns a first generation iPhone (2G) , he can still unlock and jailbreak his iPhone with no problem using Quickpwn.

Don't have to wait till next month (unless u can wait much longer).
Otherwise, try the tips given by the members.
Yours is iPhone 2G....thus it DOES NOT require yellows0w.

Just do a rejailbreak and unlock, read the links given

For 2G iPhones FW 2.2.1, the baseband is untouched by Apple, so u can just safely update it
