QUOTE(cenkudu @ Oct 17 2009, 06:52 PM)
My company already provide me with a medical card under group insurance and hospitalization scheme. However the coverage is very limited for example; room RM 80 per day and annual limit of RM 15 000. I'm not sure about renewal and lifetime limit etc coz every year they will say coverage will be continued under this insurance company and in the policy didn't mentioned about lifetime limit.

every year they will give an option to upgrade the coverage for example my employer give a basic plan D and we can pay extra for plan C,B or A. My question do I need another medical card or just upgrade the policy to get greater coverage?

hi cenkudu,

can you tell if the medical card still belongs to you even after you resign from the company.
if yes, i would recommend you to upgrade
if not, you better get yourself another medical card.

just want to clear my doubt.

ILP is protection+investment, right?
investment may be gain or loss? or the insurance company will at least maintain a minimum %?

the investment is non guarantee, is it?
or it's consists of guarantee+non guarantee value?

i think the cashless and non cashless is not regarding the investment nor the cash value return. (TS, you better consult your agent to explain abt it)

if not mistaken, cashless means you will have the "medical card" means you no need to pay when going to hospitalisation.

non cashless means you need to pay 1st with your own money, then only claim back from the insurance company.

if you are to get the non cashless MC, make sure you have a good service agent if you dont have much knowledge on handling claims.

Dear,

Let's say if I'm married and have 2 kids.
May I know buying individual medical card better? Or buying family medical card more worthy and better? Any disadvantages having individual MC or family MC?
