Anyone know what is the oldest age for guarantee renewal on critical illness, PA and TBD? Mine is only like 65 years old. Anyone holding policy older than that and who is the insurer? Thanks.

The insurance in Malaysia is a risk-rated insurance
Premiums are based on a probability of claim being made
As in any other business, the insurer must remain profitable
in order to continue doing business which forms part of the contribution
to community well-being

Community-rated insurance, on other hand, does not focus on profit
but on providing everyone health benefits. Available mostly in the West
Losses covered by government or similar body. Any dental care or optical care
is a CERTAINTY not a RISK ( insurer sure must pay). If you want cover, then
ALL policy-owners must pay higher premiums to fund SURE-CLAIM expenses
Example;- if all policyholders claim RM500/- per year for dental care ( because insurance paying),
then all must pay RM500/- per year EXTRA ( because sure claim)... You want?
I surely don't want!

I hope I explained reasonable well

Hi, i'm looking for medical card. can anyone send a quote?

I'm 3X year, casual smoker. Minimum requirement: -

Guarantee renewal , up to 75 or depends
CI Rider or other alternative rider ( waive prenium if unlucky)
Reasonable lifetime and annual limit
co or no co-insurance

For budget, 150 to 200 pm.

One question, i'm covered under master medical plan for employee. How do i can file a claim if really unlucky? As i understand, you may can claim only one from insurance or top-up from other company.

thanks in advance

Pls drop me your particulars & email address. Will come back to you asap. Btw for your age & budget for RM200 you should be able to get a decent coverage.
For company medical, they usually have a limit to their employee, around 20K p.a for executive staff & will increase according to your position. I'll suggest claim from your company if it's below 10K & claim from personal insurance if the medical bill is very huge. You may claim from both if your limit is not enough.

One hypothetical question here: if I have medical bill of 10k and I need to pay 10% Co-insurance. Can I claim for the 1k Co-insurance payment from another medical card that I have?

From my experience if both card is from same company, should be no problem. Different insurer company might have some difficulty.

I have made claim for client, non-issue. As long as hospital produce invoices with itemized billing
and Final Payment shows difference, that difference can be claimed later "pay-first, claim-later".
If amount too large, then need to liaise with both insurers same time real time during hospital stay

how much is amount too large?

what about the 20% surcharge if stay in higher R&B rate, assuming the 2nd medical card covers higher R&B rate than the 1st one?

Difference can be RM10,000? Insurance ( your company insurance????) has inner limit where surgical claim is limited to RM10,000 but bill is RM20,000/-? ( Annual Limit of Medical Policy is RM50,000/-????)

20% surcharge is actually penalty. You have to decide which penalty you want to "enjoy". Room and board, follow
your medical card. You cannot transfer the "penalty" to higher card, you claim from higher card, until you are discharged
then you claim from 1st card

Actually, all these scenarios above are nowadays redundant

There are good & effective Medical Cards today which :-

- Do not have inner schedules ( internal limits, eg cover RM50,000 but surgery allowed only RM20,000)
- No compulsory co-insurance (10%, Min RM50/- Max RM2,000/-, etc)
- Higher & Guaranteed renewal age (Age 80)
- No co-payment (penalty) for room upgrade, only pay difference
- High Annual / Life-Time Limit ( 100K/600K ~ 200K/1.2M)
- Wider number of Panel Hospitals

The last thing you want to do is juggle through all these terms & limitations of policy when you are sick
No need to waste time, looking at "if like this" and "if like that"...... just "claim all / pay all".

The moment of truth is for example

1) trying to enjoy Term Life, PA & 36 Critical Illness at the cheapest possible premium
[attachmentid=2700004]
OR

2) If I had a critical illness like cancer, and I wish to take up life insurance, the insurer will either decline or load my application. How do I get this insurance coverage FREE OF CHARGE ( full term coverage after 2 years of inception up to age 65)?

It is a Value added benefit. Quite easy to accomplish main term & condition. Hint - Invest EPF maybe?

Which company? Sorry this info for my clients, my "cari makan". Hope you understand
