Is there any Tokio Marine medical insurance agent here? If yes, pls get in touch with me via PM. Will like to catch-up with you to discuss the following.

1. I've a MedicPartner plan now and due to renewal in Oct 2010

2. I und MedicPartner has no guaranteed renewability and is now looking into options. Would like to explore TM before moving on to other companies. Have seen proposals from ING and GE.

3. I und Premier MedicPartner is a guaranteed renewable plan but as the thread here stated, it's stated as "gauranteed renewable after 12 months of non-claims". Would like to confirm if it's first 12 months or a revolving 12-mths (if latter, then for all intent and purpose, it's actually non-guaranteed renewability which then makes no sense to put that stmt. Still would like to have an official word.)

Thanks.

TM: once you're in its guaranteed renewal after 12 months of no claims (i.e. from 2nd year onwards) up to the age limit. they have to renew you if you can pay the (regular) premium.
Hi, just a note here. TM has two types of Medic Partner; the normal and the Premier. The normal Medic Partner is NOT guaranteed-renewable while the Premier MedicPartner is the one where PJusa mentioned it's guaranteed renewable after 12-mths of non-claim. This is in addition to their MedicPlus.

OBviously the standard MedicPartner is much cheaper than the Premier. Also you can see from the benefits, the standard MedicPartner has no Lifetime Limit (only Annual Limit) while the Premier has both Lifetime and Annual - which clues you in to it's "guaranteed renewable" factor.

I found this out myself... while my agent signed me up for standard MedicPartner without advising me of the guaranteed renewability then. And now as I'm about to renew, he told me TM H&S has no "guaranteed" renewable and suggest I switch to some other company's H&S.

I'll be dropping in to TM's office later to find out if I renew to Premier MedicPartner, would my last 12-mths of non-claim on the standard MedicPartner allow me to get into the "guaranteed" status now or do I still have to wait another 12-mths. Hope it's the former. Will update here for everyone's info.

PAckage-wise, I agree with PJusa that TM's policy is value for month. Even the standard MedicPartner benefits-vs-premium is good except for it's non-guaranteed renewal issue.
