QUOTE(chew_ronnie @ Apr 14 2010, 10:24 AM) how come some insurance and mostly the famous one like AIA, Prudentian, Great Estern companies is it that follow the policy of 10 percent payment?how about those insurance agency that ask the client to pay first , claim later policy? than there's also policy that does not allow client to claim more than 3 times a year. Is this a myth of true? I had checked manulife hospital plan and it allows clients to go in/out anytime they want as long as their lifetime limit is not finish. So what is the best insurance policy in the market at this moment. IS it Allianz? |

first of all,
my requirement is cheap, high coverage and also protects family. i figure that most important in the hospitalization coverage is also the Day Care /nursing fees. some insurance also provide allowance for patient. hi ron, there has to be good and bad coverage. some insurance lifetime coverage is not that much when compares a RM 150 room plan. Their life time limit is different too. when u say co-insurance, what do u mean by that? |

Is there any policy that provides treatment for dialysis care monthly ? Or if the patient have to admit into the hospital every two to three times , is there a coverage for treatment in hospital such as chiropractic or bone check . And does slip disc problem included ?

my friend in AIA told me that if i buy a Family Plan for H&S standalone policy and if i have leave this world, my wife and children will still have to continue to pay the premium. If my wife also leave this world, my children will have to buy their own policy already.
So , do you guys think that buying together will save the kids money or prefer that each kid get their own H&S standalone policy ? |

What policy will be the best for this customer requirement :
1) Budget : RM 100 per month 2) he wants a renewal policy up to 100 years 3) he want a fix premium fees without fluctuating cost when he get age. 4) No Co - insurance or maybe like AIA which have a minimum before Co. 5) Covers Dialysis and other treatments after discharge. no limit is better. 6) no annual limit 7) got hospital allowance 8) guardian fees and children nursing fees provided. 9) doctor visiting fees absorbed by insurance without limit. 10)no need to pay RM 50 for medical report by client 11)evac from overseas. seems like impossible policy... |

after browsing this low yat forum, whoever have not buy any insurance yet , i can say that chew-ronnie is the most outspoken person in the insurance details and info regarless of which company he represents. I have to give him my salute for being a kind, patient and tremendous effort to reply even a blood coughin question i setup in this forum.
I would love to see more agents and most importantly sincerity to deal with human beings who know nuts about the insurance trick or treat. there's a lot of policy option that could make any layman to go bankrupt or lapse their policy if they buy wrongly from the insurance agent. I had came across this 4 terms which can interwine and causing many people to put their money in the wrong basket and they have to pay for it due to their lack of information and understanding about the money. 1) Saving 2) Investment 3) Hospitalization and surgery 4) Life Protection, Accidental and Critical Illness Than don't forget that the plot gets thicker when you buy Family Plan vs Individual vs Child .... So , now if you are clear of what you intent to purchase and also your ability to pay for it, than you will get a very clear cut policy without having to lose it out if something happen. If any policy binded with a child, i also figure out the cost of buying it individual may be cheaper than associate with your child since he/she is eligible for lower premium due to their age after that. If binding with your age, the premium seems to be higher too. Correct me if im wrong. Than come to the part where you want to choose for the company or agents. After reading so much about the opinion here, i think more agents should speak out sincerely and seek information without having to be narrow minded of your competitor. if your product is not the best in the market, reveal it out and identify , rectify it. I discover these companies seems to be favourable by some of you but let me rank it base on the times i saw people commented in this forum 1) Allianz 2) Ing 3)Pru 4)AIA Quite unbelivable insurance policy is the one produced by AXA AFFIN with no lifetime limit but AIA also have that now with their optional premium to over ride the lifetime limit. Im not very sure where or how strong Allianz position itself as one of the insurance company as books did gave away their cons when policies provided by bank may have a very different way in handling insurance claim and agents are not as professionals compare to the others like pru and aia. they are bankers and administration on claims handling is a question mark too. alliance and Ing seems to be the perfect choice for those who want a policy that protects the buyer and fulfill their promises on hospital claims and surgery but their let down is in the low limit for cancer and dialysis treatement. further more , renewal claim is some more up to their discretion (true or false). Annual limit is quite low too. But they seems to be pretty covered on everything. I wish to see more details on their plan if anyone has a copy of the the information and their strength as compare to other. will continue again . |

thank u brother nick, so far i know only AIA have the extra MedicPlus which have to buy separately to increase the limits of dialysis and cancer treatment. Also waive the annual limit like you said.. Co-insurance begins after a certain amount from RM 22K above. So for normal treatment like Dengue, co-insurance never exist which is quite good .
medical report is probably report we ask from the hospital after discharge i guess. Is the report provided or have to pay to the hospital? This is suppose to be kept by us and human resource i guess. What i like about Allianz is 1) no co insurance payment 2) dialysis and cancer treatement is as charged to the bill What's their policy for renewal ? up to 80 years? If we had claimed before for a few times before , will Allianz allow the renewal? Does the plan of the room rate is also the monthly premium payable or have to base on the schedule accordance with age? This post has been edited by hackwire: Apr 19 2010, 10:31 AM |

what is the best option for a baby and parents who are not covered with H&S . Parents already have life policy
1) buy H&S standalone + life policy with 33 critical illness. (not a linked policy) ( for baby only) Parents buy their own. 2) buy H&S linked with life policy + 33 critical illness (as riders) 3) buy a H&S Family plan (husband + wife + children included ) and buy a separate life policy with 33 critical illness for baby only 4) buy a male or female + baby H&S policy and a life policy with 33 critical illness for baby. I know some agents wants parent to take up family plan or even the investment linked for their commision purpose. I afraid to pay more for my child since usually child premium is not as high as adult. Will buying a separate plan for them will save cost? Whats the pro and cons? QUOTE(chew_ronnie @ Apr 19 2010, 01:41 PM) My opinion as follows. thanks ronnie, so u advise to buy child policy as separate from the family which will be cheaper isn't it.2 will be the best choice. Remember to get a protection policy 1st then only an education policy. This will definitely save u bucks if the child would to get admitted especially we are living in a world of dengue and H1N1. Then after that only plan on the education things. Because an education plan will not pay your hospital bills! If u get a standalone card, remember to get a card with guarantee renewability! It is regardless of what plan u choose (whether the agent recommend or what) the most important thing is get the right thing for coverage/protection. So the best Critical Illness plan is to link the Critical Illness with the Life portion meaning the policy will pay the sum assured when C.I or Death comes. This will save u some bucks. Either way there are pros and cons. than i shall proceed with child H&S with the life term policy. Can you quote me please and email me the info and details of Allianz pls. thanks. Added on April 19, 2010, 4:36 pm QUOTE(Brother Nick @ Apr 19 2010, 01:21 PM) It all come down to your budget. How much you willing to put aside and then try to find an insurance company which can match your needs. Prioritize is the key if in budget. If I'm the father I would normally rank this way thank u brother nick, at least i can see the reason y i shouldn't buy those family plan now since our age range also affected the premium of our child policy and hospitalization fees.1 ) Medical Card ( Hospitalization bill is huge and will effect my income if my child admitted ) 2 ) Education Fund ( For future ) 3 ) 36 Critical Illness ( its hard for kids to strike one of the 36 illness ) Different people different needs. Anyway to answer your question, if you want complete coverage for your baby only .... then opt for the No.2 Option and dont forget to add payor benefit. Pru dential family plan had quoted us above RM 2K and after seeing another plan MAnulife made for the child , we figure out how cheap the kids medical card fee is. i still plan to look for something that is renewable every year in contract terms. HHalphaomega , thanks to you for sharing such detail. I take my time to look for the best for my child as once i sign the paper , i have to commit till the end.
i think many agents out there failed to create a checklist to identify the needs before they proposing a schedule or quote which fail to explain a lot of things. this help im getting here really an eye opener now. now have understood alot of jargons and insurance language which were once like a south somalia accent to me... haha. will take a break and than comeback with more questions and comparison before i pick the right one. |

I feel Prudential is the most complicated plan around and their brochure can also lead someone to believe they are covered for some thing but its optional due to their labeling of the riders.
I myself discover that an agent sell me Pru Child . than when i read, Pru child is for somebody who are expecting newborn. In fact, my baby already seen the world. Then upon reading more about the Pru health and Pru child , i realized that many hidden riders are optional.... Very misleading and didn't specify enough detail on sub rider. All the sub rider names just pop up of no where to inform the client in a main rider. Am i confusing you guys now? PruHealth (Medical Card), PruMed, Hospital Benefit, PruPayor, PruPayor Double Parent, etc. Double name and same meaning are use as well like the above . You just don't know what to get and you will never settle for it. Manipulation is the key to disguise their policy from others i guess. But hey... this is insurance policy and not to make people confuse or what. I had personaly drafted out 4 insurance company for comparison and I was lucky that i did not commit so soon yet. I could end up paying RM 50-60K for something i don't need. I realize that most major insurance company profit from this due to greedy agent. A policy that only cost RM 30K plus could end up paying RM 80K plus. So be careful guys, only true and honest agent will identify your budget and needs, and they will draft out the illustration base on your budget. I knew some agents that do not want to do Hospital and Insurance policy because too much work and too little commision. They also declare the loss of time and money they have to evaluate a case in the hospital. Only gives the money to committed agents who are passionate to their job. it's ok i just don't want to run back the pamphlet and introduce the thing i don't understand. it will fry my brain soon. The jargon i found is in the download PDF pamphlet. So they didn't explain each rider . Now you did.
but you might want to listen to the consumer rather than making a defend. if other have no problem and your marketing guys felt it's good enough than im not going to tell them what went wrong. But i have seen 4 insurance company and will be making comparison soon but i am leaving Prudential out of it because i feel a bit of goosebump if i ask more. it make me like a dumber. So i rather go for simple and my needs. anyway, thank u ajau for sharing the meaning of the riders and the explaination. you the man. This post has been edited by hackwire: Apr 26 2010, 06:37 PM |

trust me 2 weeks are very fast. it already took me a month to understand some of it. usually working people will not have enough time to do research. so after a while, they will surrender if they can't afford anymore. but life is in the fast lane these days, also a great opportunity to skim fishes that swims fast and on top the ocean.

I have just watch the movie Sicko by Michael Moore and this really give me a very good sense of what insurance health care company are in america , many policyholders dont get to claim even though they have bought the medical card. It even have private investigator finding fault and turn down your claim. The worse is to deny you any payment and even if you manage to claim the expenses, Insurance companies will find way to terminate you either by increasing the price of the policy.
So even the policy is consider as Guaranteed Renewal as claimed , which is true, but when they increase the premium so high than, policyholders will got no choice but abandon it. So is it worth to get Insurance Coverage now ? What does all the agent have to say about this? Are insurance company invented this plan is really on helping patient . if they do , than they should stick to the premium agreement and not subject to increase... this seems to defeat the Guaranteed Renewal clause. People just cannot afford high premium that has no limitation. I hope many agents will watch sicko and ask questions whether they are truly in this business to help the policyholders. if they really mean it than they should question the high cost of premium for old age. Shouldn't senior citizens get cheaper premium after 55 years old but instead the cost is beyond their mean already. and also the govt policies to make profits from the citizens of America. Three countries including a communist country actually gives free medical to the citizen. they are Canada, British and france. Guess wat, Cuba too. oh by the way, govt in france pays nanny to take care of children for free and they even have doctors going to the house to treat you for Free. i think you guys are not listening and if u still have a little bit of heart, please watch Sicko.
In the documentary, there were insurance agents who quit their job because they think it was wrong. If i were you , i hope you step back and ask this. 1) Insurance agency said they are here to help us? Are you guys contradicting when people like me can't even buy an insurance at all if i have fall under your category of diabetic, obese , snoring etc.... what do you mean by helping when some people cannot even buy a policy already and they were left to be on their own. Insurance Agency are going after people who are young and no need medical attention yet am i right? The premium for people over 40s is already unaffordable to some who buy late. So i assume insurance agency are always targeting the safe zone customers . At the end of the day, the policy term and condition is their steering wheel . I believe if insurance have to pay the policy holder early like RM 20K for the claim, i can say the next premium will be increase to recover back from patient and who will be so stupid enough to make losses in the business. Have you guys ask yourself these question? Who was the one invented Medical Insurance Policy?????? Like i said , if you guys are robot, i can't help you. Watch Sicko. If you guys want to take the blue pill , be my guest. The guy who legislate this Medical Insurance Policy was Richard Nixon and they wanted to to sell this idea to American so that the govt will be reducing their cost and increase the production of medicine industry for profits. My god!! Can you imagine crook like this guy legislate it and we still buy this idea? He is untrustable president in that time. I cannot continue further but still if we want to get the right insurance policy for surgical and diagnostic of cancer and other critical illness which rarely occurs than get it early for your child . For adults , we got to think for other alternatives or fight for the govt to provide cheaper treatment in future. And let me said this last, not all medicine, drugs, machines for treatment, oxygen tank , monitoring machines will be covered in the medical insurance policy. Just like you buy a handphone or Iphone but you still need to get Car Charger, Casing, Video Cable output, Microphone and other Apps..... Be prepare for such cost. Added on May 11, 2010, 8:00 pmForumers and agents out there... Don't argue with me on this.... this is not a joke or something...if you believe we can fight for better and cheaper cost of medicine , coverage, better treatment and drugs than lets do it and ask more question why this, why that, why why why? You are inside the agency, u know y some people got rejected. u can blame them for not disclosing their problem in the end , if this is the thinking than don't even start this business and claim we are here to HELP! I hope you and i will not have to pay all our savings to medicine or treatment and enjoy the final day traveling instead. Added on May 11, 2010, 8:04 pmToday honestly im telling you agents out there that im diagnose with Sleep Apnea and in your policy stated very clearly that i will have problem with applying for Insurance policy. I dont give a shit anymore , if i cant be help than i wont buy . I will fight for my life on my own. Soon i will do medical check up and i will probably have my application rejected for obese and diabetic. Can i still buy a policy? This post has been edited by hackwire: May 11 2010, 08:04 PM |

QUOTE(kidZac @ May 11 2010, 08:47 PM) most insurance companies will not cover your for diabetes. obesity they will consider you for life coverage with perhaps loading, but definitely not for medical policies. in regards to sleep apnea, fair to say it will depend on how serious the condition is, exclusions and loading perhaps imposed. thank u kidzac, i wish i am still in the matrix and not taking the red pill. Virtual world is a wonderful place to live in. I will find it hard at first trying to keep any secret but soon i realize that the game is subconciously work like that. The payout was awesome, the coverage was awesome to the extent that you are like a freeman walking into the hospital and walking out freely as you don't need to pay at all unless Mr Death visit you early and insurance co have no other choice.I won't blame the instituition for "One Arm In , One Arm Out " if not the company will be losing money. I did recall this in the movie "Sicko" Healthcare is not a Privilege , Healthcare is the rights of human being. Brits believes that every penny was spent to kill German Soldiers in the past be transform to saving lives instead. That's y British get Free Medical and they dont carry medical card at all. |

kidzac,
people are realistic with education, they know they pay the college to get the education. whereas insurance is paying for something that is not yet deliver or fulfill. And like i said, if you want to do better in your field, give us the testimonial, give us the data of number of payout to people diagnose with cancer, diabetic? Well , you can blame us for something you haven't proof beyond your professionalism. I never force for such information with all the agency i have counter yet but in reality we have to do it . This is call informed consumer. Only Informed Consumer can make you better and forward. if you want to sell better and excel in your job , u have to be more proactive and really beat your goals to sell data, info , testimonials and statistics to the buyer. did insurance company emphasize that certain drugs , sprays, machines , treatement are not included? did u give us this list???? Can we get subsidy??? Insurance coverage is not only about Room and Cost of Surgery..... i don't know about the overseas but i knew Americans are thinking that far till they get the best treatment after they diagnose with the disease or viruses. Like i said, if you still have not watch Sicko and research it web info, you still belonging to where you are and will never even fight the right and constituition. Im collecting all details and info of interviews, chats, my medical experience and cost to fight for better treatment, better medical benefits and reverse all the orthodox in probably 3-5 years time if i have to do it alone. either u agree with me or not. And i feel education payout is guaranteed a seat in any university , whereas insurance can still be rejected or deny. I have Lonpac medical card and i know they are probably going to ask alot of question soon and if they can fork out RM 8K for my CPAP machine for my treatment , i will work for insurance company tomoro. |

I saw this advertisement in the star and i found that this piece of news can be very useful for me to find out the insurance coverage policy that i am still no confidence yet. Im doing some research and also interviews lately and it will be interesting enough soon that i will post some interesting facts in my new blog on medical care and insurance guidelines. But let's disect the information provided in this news. The questions i am gonna ask the agents in low yat is going to help us to built more confidence with insurance companies and clearly educated by it. There are few agents here who are prominent enough already such as Ronnie Chew, Gavin_Lim and even KidZac. I cannot speak for others i do not know yet but you guys may also be part of the discussion group. Im going to talk about H&S Medical Card only. Let's leave other thing later. When you read this news, http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?f...9985&sec=nation Are you all confident enough that when a patient who get the lung disease will get diagnose , transplant of organ, buy blood or buy organ etc claimable from the insurance agency? When we read the news, there are specific name for the diseases. So usually, insurance policy may also reject the claim if the name of disease is not as popular as diabetes or cancer. What worries alot to us is that many of the heatlh problems are unknown and not getting proper name which can be coverd by insurance. There are many specific names which insurance agents would love to look into when someone is making claims. This post has been edited by hackwire: May 22 2010, 11:19 PM |
