QUOTE(Kieff @ Oct 23 2010, 02:15 PM) Thanks, my wife happened to meet an agent from AIA claiming that their medical card is lifetime unlimited. While almost all insurance companies all have lifetime limit. Does anybody know what are the hidden things that lay behind, as i truely don't think their actuaries will come out something like that. Thanks for sharing! How about cancer and kidney dialysis treatment lifetime limit?? |

QUOTE(MNet @ Oct 31 2010, 12:31 PM) Since u buy pruhealth i wan ask something. Most of the company will be "If you want to maintain pay RM1726 when u are 51 yr old then the balance RM2586 (RM4582 - RM1726 =RM2586 ) will be deduct from ur unit trust."They say the premium is fix for example when u enter it at 23yr old(RM 1726) then even when u at 51 yr old(RM4582) u also pay RM1726. Can i believe the agent? But i don't feel the way as they told me. Below is what i feel is correct, If you want to maintain pay RM1726 when u are 51 yr old then the balance RM2586 (RM4582 - RM1726 =RM2586 ) will be deduct from ur unit trust. Is my thinking correct? http://flare.me/images/qniortmx.jpg ![]() |

QUOTE(MNet @ Oct 31 2010, 08:48 PM) As long as it is ILP,the cost of insurance and premium is not guaranteed. when your cost of insurance > premium, it will definetly call for top up or consume part of your fund.. btw, pardon us because we do not know that you are not bro, sis.. |

Have a serious consideration about it bro. If really want to give up, please wait until 120 days waiting period to over. Safer. But, it will still be subjected to investigation if any claims occurs..

QUOTE(MNet @ Dec 29 2010, 07:53 PM) In Malaysia, health insurance is often mistaken as medical expense insurance, such as hospitalisation and surgical insurance or clinical (out-patient) treatment insurance. If possible, maybe you can consider to take up 1 primary medical plan and 1 backup medical plan where they can compensate for each others cons. While medical expense insurance is a type of health insurance, there are other types of health insurance such as critical illnesses insurance and disability income insurance. Medical expenses insurance plans are sometimes extended to include dental, maternity, prescription drugs and vision care. What I'm looking is to explore the options for Hospitalisation and surgical insurance especially to cater for my need after I retired which is 9 years from now. This is by far the most common type of health insurance available in Malaysia. It is designed to provide for the insured person's expenses in seeking in-hospital treatment or surgery. Typically, this plan will provide for room and board, use of an intensive care unit, hospital supplies and services, pre- hospitalization consultation and diagnosis, surgeon fees, anaesthetist fees, operating theatre fees, in-hospital physician fees, post-hospitalisation follow-up and ambulance fees. Most policies are now extended to provide a limited amount of cover for outpatient treatment of injury due to accidents and daily cash allowance for government hospitals. |

QUOTE(Arsenal1980 @ May 24 2011, 05:43 PM) Dear All LYN member, Usually paying deposit is normal. Is it cashless facilities? Not sure your medical report contains test for this sickness ornot. If yes, you can submit and accelerate the process of claiming.I have a question to ask in relation to the medical claim. The situation is like this..... My mum just admitted to the hospital recently and i was informed tat we can't use her medical card for the admission & hence have to pay our own for the deposit 1st. The reason given by the Insurance Co. is because my mum who diagnosed with "Bone Thorn" (direct translate from Cantonese as i dun know what exactly its called in medical term However, my mum actually went for medical check up b4 she got her approval for the insurance policy and she had never suffered from this disease b4. Really appreciate anyone fr the LYN member can give some advise to me on this. My current agent just tell me submit the necessary document n to wait for the outcome i.e. whether can claim or not.... |

QUOTE(Veda @ May 24 2011, 10:39 PM) A former colleague of mine, who has 2 PA policies from 2 different insurers (I won't name the companies), was crippled in an accident. Hmm, PA usually more hard to claim. But since the 1 company payout already. Prove it to the second company and they will pay out soon.He experienced great difficulty claiming the money from both insurers ..... Imagine a crippled man given the roundabout, being told everytime the boss was not in, etc. One (the one with the lower coverage) finally paid after more than a year, the other is still giving excuses. I believe insurance is necessary, but remember it is a business, not charity. I also believe one should not overpay. My coverage is pretty comprehensive ..... medical insurance, CI, PA ... yet it is less than RM100 per month. |

There is no procesing fees.
When submit proposal, usually Insurance company will dedubt 2 months premium in advanced. (If you are in monthly mode, other will be the exact premium) Within this period, if your case is standard and approved ( set inforced), on the following month (2nd) , there will be no deduction from your credit card. It will deduct on the 3rd month onwards. If your case is decline, they will refund your premium less medical check up fees. |
