You just need to buy a 3G wireless router... a few brand in the market that i know off... Dlink Dir451 is one of them which cost at RM460 in Low Yat... Personally, i don't use it...

Mind telling me which Dlink 3G router series ( for 3G Broadband) that you are using now?? I wanted to look for one before i register for Digi broadband.

or maybe other people out there willing to share which are the model u r using currently without any problems so far using 3G broadband??

Hi Kayx, are you saying that there's a latest 3G router out there that support 7.2mbps? Mind sharing ur thoughts?

I went to Digi centre and ask and they told me they got a 3G router which supports up to 7.2mbps and it cost around rm 800+. 
Can anyone clarify this?

i'm considering digi bb too... as of in one of my list... izzit really tat good? no line down? will need to use it for online surfing only... no heavy downloading...

even on streamyx basic package is good for me but i'm just complaining that it downs very frequent! huh!

I have been using DIGI’s earlier version of broadband which uses the EDGE technology for 2 years now. It served its purpose in the beginning as I am not a heavy user. However, over the last few months, I find that it is practically useless as it keeps going offline. As it was a 2 year contract, I have to continue paying the monthly fee even though I hardly get to use it now. Nowadays, I have had to resort to looking for WIFI enabled places to do most of my web surfing.

As the contract is nearing its end, I have been looking for an alternative. Looking at P1 W1MAX’s latest promotion where we get a 1 month trial period certainly looks enticing. But then, DIGI has also rolled out its new broadband which is supposed to be much faster than those offered by the other networks. It is contract-free and considering DIGI’s option offer more mobility, it is definitely a contender. Although P1 W1MAX’s answer to mobility is the WIGGY, even their reseller tells me that it is not reliable at the moment. Looking at their coverage map, both DIGI and P1 have good coverage in my area.

I have recently found out DIGI has set up kiosks where we are able to test out their broadband. While I have not tried it, it must mean they are quite confident of their performance. However, will DIGI be giving me the same problem 2 years down the road when they get more subscribers ? One P1 W1MAX reseller was telling me as DIGI’s system has to cope with voice calls, sms and the likes in addition to data traffic, their system is liable to being clogged as compared to P1 WIMAX which is solely for data traffic. Is this true or are they just pulling wool over my eyes ? Incidentally, one P1 W1MAX reseller told me there is plan to provide voice call service through their modem in the future too.

Based on my limited knowledge, I would say DIGI is a better bet. Anyone thinks differently ?

My area suffers no data transfer problem over the weekend until yest. Dissapointed me totally as the cs claims that there's no service interruption in my area, asked me to check my modem coz they suspect my modem has problem.

I have another question. my i780 detected 3G signals from my home with full bar. does that means I can get 3G signal from my home on Digi broadband? The map in digi site says my house area is not covered.

truly unlimited but EDGE speed is slow, or 3G speed 3GB, after that capping at EDGE speed. So new package still better.

thanks! i've read through that. i've stopped using Digi before they launch their broadband and 3G service so meaning i'm not a subscriber.
For Q13 you can only do that IMHO after you subscribed to Postpaid while for Q18 is for current subscriber.

I don't want to subscribe to Digi Broadband since there will be additional charges if i exceed the 3GB Quota for Discover.
No extra charges for 3G Unlimited Rm58 Plan just they will slow you down which i'm more comfortable with. Don't want suddenly monthly goes up to Rm138 for Discover which is more than double your usual charges.

So... can i subscribe to Digi 3G Internet Unlimited (RM58/month) without any voice feature?

Can anyone confirm if the speed is sufficient if you can do video call on skype on explore package?

acording to my fren at DIGI,he said klang will be fully covered by Jan 2010

its not shown in the map because the coverage that you are getting might be a spillover from the site nearby. Its just that you might not get the signal in some time if more ppl are using at the site there. To be safe, wait till they announce at their coverage map.

I really got pissed off by DiGi's broadband ... Disconnect every 10 seconds ...

i think i will terminate my DIGI BB if ther is no any neartime plan  for DIgi 2 have 3g services in Seri Kembangan...just shifted frm KL....no more fast access:(
