Surprisingly the Digi broadband (certain areas) is actually quite fast.
Let's hope it stays that way and/or gets better |

I borrowed my friend's Digi Mobile Broadband done right and tested in Mont Kiara, in a coverage area.
I tested over a few days. From my experience, I found a lot of dropped connections. Sometimes it was very fast - almost reached 1mb. Impressive. Other times, it was like GPRS speed. Pathetic. I would not recommend it if it is that unstable. Digi has network and billing problems. Too much congestion. Not enough bandwidth. Streamyx is not perfect, definitely lots of problems - but it is still the better choice if you don't mind using it at home with wifi. Much more stable than Digi, for sure. So if you want for home use - use Streamyx. If you want stable GPRS coverage while on the road (not high speed) - Celcom is the better choice. Not for gaming etc but basic web surfing, email etc. Maxis is terrible. Avoid! P1 speed has dropped. Too many users.... Izzy is... well, forget them. That is my opinion. |

QUOTE(vayle @ Feb 10 2010, 11:49 PM) MCMC is the malaysian communication and multimedia commission (http://www.skmm.gov.my). They are the one that assigns the 3G licenses. Agreed!! Was so pissed off with maxshit. Complain but no response until i need to cc my complains to mcmc. After that they got back to me immediately... i guess that must be the trick to get these telco's attention. Actually if you are not happy about the telcos such as dropped calls, internet speed etc then you can make the official MCMC complaint. The telco MUST reply within 3 days and try to fix within 7 days. Go to this special MCMC website. It is real. www.cfm org.my |

Haha if not happy with Celcom, Digi etc then make the MCMC complaint la. Put pressure on the telco to improve!!
Digi noticeably slower since when? When they started roling out 3G or around August 2009? They have reached almost max bandwidth, that is the reason for the dropped calls, cell congestion and so on. Be careful of the Digi data billing. They have plenty billing errors especially when it is data. I suggest if you're using Digi then disable 3G and only use 2G. Less dropped calls. Google la. If you are not sure why it got dropped calls or slow internet speed - the internet can teach you. That is how I learnt! Go wikipedia! |
