dude, u need to force WCDMA. so it wont jump to EDGE in areas where 3G coverage is weaker than EDGE. that normally solves the issue.

700 Kbps is damn decent for phone surfing and ur batt is draining fast cos compared to EDGE, it uses more "power"... haha. virgin 3G user ka?

it really depends on location lo. check ur coverage 1st. some locations are good. mine is okay. consistent speed. i use it at pj, shah alam, sunway and around kl office area...
