How long will this last?
*
Wax will last about 2 weeks but you dun need to polish for a year or so. The main difference between this and PPS is PPS puts a layer of protective film over your existing paint where else this detailing treats your car paint to give it better gloss and shine but you still need to apply need to wax your car every few weeks. The bottomline is you either get a good looking paintjob but you still need to wax or you dun have to wax often and just wash but you won't get the best paint look.

No woh, all at klang valley.
sealant last for 1 years, every 2-3 months have to do wax.
u mean every saturday? 20% cheaper on Meguiars product and they help us to apply as well?
My friend's husband own the car wash centre, so they bought Meguiars from distributor like Hypercoat or a-dealer. I not sure where they get Meguiars tho.
*
Hypercoat(Meguiars) is the sole importer and distributor of Meguiars product and they do not open on Saturday. However, they sometimes conduct their auto clinic on some of the Saturdays. If we(as a club) apply for their auto clinic, we definitely get that 20% discount on their consumer products except the professional products. If Hypercoat has a auto clinic(usually a car club will be present) on the particular Saturday, you can sometimes get that discount automatically(happens once on my case).

Just to share more on their consumer line...

NXT = this product focuses more to protection not looks therefore more water beading, the sealant last longer, etc.
Gold Class = this product focuses more to looks, deep gloss or shine therefore their waxes are carnuba type and they don't last as long as NXT.

Honda City Enthusiasts Club Detailing Clinic

2009-03-01

0900hrs - 1400hrs

Meguiar's Show Car Detail Center@ Jln Templer, PJ
aiks, just over.  sad.gif

Yup, I was reading their website too. I heard the Jln Templer is another one of their branches. I was planning to join another car club for their event there but due to poor response, it has been cancelled.

Btw, who are the Honda City Enthusiast Club? They are not Team City, right?

I can only comment on the Scratch X since I have only that one of all you listed above. I find it very effective in removing most scratches at clear coat level(if your scratches reaches base coat/paint, this you cannot fix at all).

The other products I have used so far are the Gold Class Car Shampoo, Safe-Degreaser(Professional Line), Quik Detailer, Quik Wax, Gold Class Trim Detailer and The Natural Shine Vinyl. Two of the items I mentioned above I got it free smile.gif

Oh, btw... the Deep Crystal system, you can buy it together in a set instead of buying individually. I cannot remember whether it comes with a clay bar or not. I have to check again either on the website or with them.

wow, u can get for free. good for u. Btw, my other options are NXT Generation® Car Wash, NXT Generation® Tech Wax™ Paste, NXT Generation® Speed Detailer™ & ScratchX® Scratch & Swirl Remover. All NXT range may done the job pretty well, just my 2 cent.  tongue.gif
*
I attended two auto clinic under two clubs in the past so that's why I got two freebies from both the clinics.

The NXT series like I mentioned is more to protection to your paint job. The Gold Class is the other series more to looks. There is a professional line of products of Meguiars but those are what the car care centre uses or more for professional DIY detailers. I checked their website and they have another range I am not aware about.

Anyway, once our cars are broken-in further(maybe after 10,000km onwards), we will see a big improvement in FC compared to when we first got our car.

I don't see different using RON92 and RON97 from Caltex, from the mileage record.
*
That's why I use Shell instead of Caltex since I find Caltex have poorer mileage but for some reason, I feel the car has a bit more power if I use Caltex... so I guess that is the trade off.

huh.. Caltex really poorer mileage? cause when i get my car till now i using Caltex only. i was thinking to campur shell v-power for a tank... do we can campur in this way? will it have any side effected for car engine? sorry still very noob on car engine.. hehe
*
Well, I tested both Caltex and Shell previous with my Putra and I notice I get slightly better mileage(remember, slightly better). I don't use V-power since the normal petrol is quite good already. I agreed with Foocy that mixing fuel will not have any side effects and best to test another fuel after few refill to make sure you don't have the previous fuel in the tank.

I think you're just unlucky (havent heard of this before), but do make sure you screw the service centre for a terminally ill car.
Yes, the honda service centres are usually open during weekends (Sat and Sun). Monday however is a public holiday, and they
might just be closed. Where did you buy ur car from, if I might ask?
*
I just checked today and Honda service centres only open for half day on Saturday and closed for the Sunday. Only the sales division opens 7 days a week.

I actually quite like the modulo kit for this city, i mean it covers up the "eye pocket" effect on the original E type fog light and looks really cool with black diamond shape border.  For that shape to stand out i actually prefer Polished Metal Metallic (i can see the shape) and and don't like silver. But then the overall impression i prefer crystal black..  what do you guys think ar!!!???
*
My personal preference was BBM due to more unique than the common gold colour therefore I got that colour. happy.gif V

On a separate note : anyone using the USB audio feature on their NHC yet? I bought an iPod Nano 4G and am using it happily with my ride. Have never touched the CD player at all since all my audio comes from the iPod. Don't need to mess around with CDs and keep them in the car.
*
I'm using both the cd player and the usb. But most of the time on usb with my normal usb thumb/pendrive. I dun have an ipod so I dunno about that one.

Cool bro...I was a little skeptical about using the iPod with the NHC as I've tried to get more info from the net (couldn't find) and my SA (he didn't know as it's too new) but to my suprise, the integration is pretty good. Can control the iPod seamlessly with the audio controls. I'm quite happy with it. Besides, the stock sound system in our rides is very decent indeed.
*
Ic ic... sounds good. That means from the car audio control side, you can control the volume and switch between tracks and folders? It's true the stock speakers are not bad to start off with as compared to my original proton tongue.gif Unless I am an audiophile or an ICER, the current setup is already good for me. smile.gif

when i sent my NHC for 1st check up (1k km service) i complaint about my car not enough pick up when start from idle, even lose to myvi when start head to head at trafic light for 500m. SC told me that normally Honda put oil slightly thick oil for new engine to protect engine part. and for free service, they using mineral oil. if we ewant to change to semi synthetic or fully synthetic, need to top up (around 20+ for semi).just sharing the info  rclxms.gif
*
I've notice usually with the Jazz, City and the 1.8 Civic, they use mineral oil all the way. But once the car gets older, best to switch from mineral to semi-syth. I'm planning to do that only after the 2nd or 3rd year.

Btw, what do you mean by thick oil?
