I think the infos below should make u understand rite
QUOTE(grinner @ Mar 2 2009, 11:54 AM) ... hey there Ah Chuan... welcome to the uh... winderful world of tennis... it's quite simple when you look at people playing, and wonder 'i can do that'... the truth is it requires a lot of training and time till you can even attempt to have a casual style of play... not trying to scare you, but just to prepare you... it's not like badminton or ping-pong where you can just pick up a racquest/bat and start consistently returning shuttles/balls... so be prepared to spend some time learning the sport... don't get discouraged because i know a lot of beginners get frustrated when they can't master the basics quickly... This post has been edited by pooh88: Mar 2 2009, 01:15 PM...well maybe pooh88 can guide you better on this, but basically, beginners will want to use a lighter racquet with a bigger head >100sq. inches... a man can probably handle a heavier racquet, which will help in power generation later on, but other than that, a beginner, be it male/female can use any beginner racquest i described... preferably a guy will not buy a glossy pink racquest though ... for beginners, probably get a cheaper racquet, since you don't want your RM400++ racquet to be chipped/scratched or even broken when learning how to play... but if you don't mind about the money, get the best (usually the more expensive) first time... ...brands, like price are not that important for beginners... i wouldn't say one brand is better for beginners than another... a reputable brand will have a suitable racquet for whatever level in its range, so pick one you like (or you favourite player uses) and select from its beginner range... other than that, welcome again to the sport and happy learning! |

Is not heavy as long u carry weight & build your muscle
Then u use back this racquet QUOTE(cartographer @ Mar 3 2009, 10:30 AM) Hi everyone... I will still be looking for a buyer for my aeropro drive. I have been using it for 2 months so far. For those who PMed me the last time, sorry that I quoted so expensive because back then it was still quite new. Until now i have been already using it for 2 months and still feel it is too heavy. So therefore, right now im willing to let it go for rm400. For those who are interested, please PM me. Thanks! |

There could be a few reasons.
1) Could be the tension or the string is not properly string. 2) Could be your racquet too heavy for u 3) Or u don't have the proper technique tennis shot when u slice the ball. Only thing u do carry weight to build up ur Muscles or use lighter racquet see this will help u or not QUOTE(SticH @ Mar 28 2009, 12:45 PM) Hi all, thanks for replying on my question. I don't know if my technique of slicing the ball is correct or not because my friend told me that it's completely out of shape thus the ball had side-spin, lol. I'm currently using my K-six one tour and I found that the racket is very very stiff, making my elbow pain. Is there anyway to lessen the pain on my elbow? Actually the longer u whack the string eventually the string will loosen just matter of time.
So whack harder |

Anyway choose racquet not base on the funny shape & design
Should choose racquet base on how u handle & feel good when u hold it This post has been edited by pooh88: Mar 31 2009, 10:45 PM |

Everything u said below is 110 %
Becos i also using oversize racquet to spin the ball QUOTE(cartographer @ Apr 13 2009, 11:25 AM) imo: higher string tension produce more spin. bcuz higher string tension can more effectively 'flatten' the ball at contact, making more area of the ball being 'bite'by the strings. bigger head size can indirectly help u 2 produce spin, bcuz: 1. bigger head size means it helps u produce more power: normally to produce spin u really need to transfer a lot of power to ur spin, making ur shot less pace due to the power has aleready being used to genereate the spin. so if u use a bigger head size, will help u help u in producing more power so ur shot will have lots of spin and at the same time lots of pace. 2. to produce spin, ur racquet movement is alot more, so b bigger head size is more forgiving and reduce the chances of hiting the ball at the frame im not a pro or a coach or anything, all the above is base on my own experience only. so if im wrong, anybody can correct me. thanks. |
